Advantages: Original, vocal-driven, catchy, deep, warrants repeated plays Disadvantages: A weak track or two
...selling over 15,000 copies in its first week on sale. Released in September 2006, tracks from Good Monsters have been used to promote several TV programs in the US including Bones and House. Starting off like a music box, with a "ting ting" keyboard, Tricia sings quietly to be joined by a gentle guitar before building up into a pseudo-military beat during the first verse. Come the chorus, the vocals intensify, the drum beat becomes heavier and the guitars thrash briefly before the second verse resumes in the same quiet way as the first. As the song progresses, the rocky interludes slip into quieter moments with careful piano work before rising again in an emotive crescendo, repeating the cycle several times and making it hard to classify this song as rock or ballad. An interesting and attractive tune which spent 10 weeks at number one on the CCM chart in the US.

1 kg ripe plums without stones, cut into small pieces
1/2 yellow or red paprika, cut into small pieces
