...I recently managed to fill up my 80GB Hard drive with all sorts of rubbish and needed some CD's to store my information on. Usually I would buy them from Tesco's, but as I was In a hurry I popped into my local computer retailer (Northbridge Computers in Lowestoft) to see what he had available. All he had on this occassion was TDK CD-R80 discs. There was single CD's in cases, boxs of ten in cases and spindles of twenty-five and one hundred. I plummeted for the spindle of twenty-five as I wasn't rich enough at the time to buy the big fat one hundred spindle. ***Product*** The disc's themselves are light blue with a silver swirl on it. TDK CD-R80 is clearly stamped on it. There is plenty of room to write on them and they can store up to 700MB of data or 80 minutes recording time. ...101cd have always serviced me well with my CD needs. I tend to order from either these guys, or Amazon. 101cd have very good deals on chart and new releases. These go for £9.99 which includes p+p. Typically you can expect your order to arrive in around 48 hours. They always have a good budget range for sale, usually these are around the £6-8 mark. You pay p+p on top of these though. As expected you can search by artist, title etc, and look through the whole catalogue. There is very rarely a cd they do not have. Prices do vary though, and they may not be the cheapest around. Sometimes they are, sometimes they aren't! They do offer imports and rare releases. ...I'd read a review here on Ciao on CD WOW and a few days later a friend of mine mentioned it too. So I decided it was time to investigate further...... So off I went to www.cd-wow.co.uk Simple site designed in black, red and blue. I decided to sign up. This whole process took, five mins max! You just had to supply a few details including email address etc. Your email address doubles as your username and you have to make up a password for your account. CD Wowser

Advantages: Cheap CDs
Disadvantages: Sometimes limited selection, no more Ipoints!

...CD Wow was the first cheap CD site I found and has, I think, just about managed to keep its lead, despite other sites now occasionally beating it on price. The key here is simplicity - they hold the top 75 CDs, and any single CD is £8.99 (unlike other places where only the top 10, or an eclectic "selection" is cheap). The range has spread beyond the chart music but you are still less likely to find an older or rarer CD here than other sites. The really big winner for me is that there's no additional postage - it's my biggest bugbear with internet shopping, that you often have to checkout, or at least browse away from the page you're on, to find out the total amount you'll have to pay. Hey! Transparent pricing! The downside to that is that CD Wow is "an international supplier"; meaning your goods'll be despatched from Hong Kong...
