Radio 1's Live Lounge C.D! Worth the wait?

Advantages: Fun covers you perhaps wouldn't expect.
Disadvantages: I can't think of any

Along with these covers there are brilliant live versions of the artist's own songs, Basment Jaxx' chilled out Romeo, Queen's of The Stoneage do a fantastic acoustic version of no-one knows with brilliant cockiness during 'the hard part'. A simply wonderful C.D. to own which many Radio 1 listeners snapped up as soon as it hit the stores. It also has a personal feel to it, like you're in the room with the artists, sharing their jokes and giggling along with them. If you like popular music this is definately a CD for your christmas lists. Review of Radio 1's Live Lounge Vol.1 - Various Artists

CD-OK

Advantages: Store yor data, free your hard drive
Disadvantages: come on a spindle and have no cases

...I recently managed to fill up my 80GB Hard drive with all sorts of rubbish and needed some CD's to store my information on. Usually I would buy them from Tesco's, but as I was In a hurry I popped into my local computer retailer (Northbridge Computers in Lowestoft) to see what he had available. All he had on this occassion was TDK CD-R80 discs. There was single CD's in cases, boxs of ten in cases and spindles of twenty-five and one hundred. I plummeted for the spindle of twenty-five as I wasn't rich enough at the time to buy the big fat one hundred spindle. ***Product*** The disc's themselves are light blue with a silver swirl on it. TDK CD-R80 is clearly stamped on it. There is plenty of room to write on them and they can store up to 700MB of data or 80 minutes recording time. ...Hi today i will be reviewing BBC Radio 1. I usually listen to Radio 1 at night as its something to do while trying to get to sleep (not a bad thing!). I personally enjoy the Chris Moyles Show and Scott Mills mainly because I find Chris funny and Scott has some great features from the old angry pizza man wind up to the new Whats Becky's Forté which features Becky the Assistant Producer trying to find that talent she excels at. The Chris Moyles show is different than most other shows on Radio 1 in that its not just the presenter that gets involved the whole team have a great time and in turn help you to get ready for whatever your going to. Review of Real Radio Scotland

Radio 2 -- Easy Listening With Style!

Advantages: Diverse shows that appeal across the spectrum
Disadvantages: The mix can be a little strange at times.

...I always find it surprising as to the diversity of Radio 2, the schedule on any given night could contain a short half hour program about Folk music and another night a program about Theatre organs can be heard, I have listened to both and realised there is more to life than listening to such stations as Happy FM (or Capital) that tend to play the same record over and over again every two hours. Besdes these stations appear to be aimed at someone about 15 years younger than myself anyway. Radio 2 on the other hand caters for people of my age and boy they certainly deliver, I always tend to be in the car coming home or going somewhere when Elaine Paige is broadcasting. Sometimes the journey can be from hell at worst and other times just damn right boring. So to experience the diversity that Radio 2 offer on a Sunday is a bonus...

..."Radio" is the debut release from LL Cool J, a rapper who has stuck with his record label, Def Jam since its creation a year before this album came out. LL's 1985 record came 23 years before his latest release "Exit 13" which recently came out, and so clearly this one shows how long he's been in the game, and the progression he has made. Upon release, Ladies Love Cool James (LL Cool J), the MC was only 17 years old, and had shown strong potential, which he clearly lived up to. 1. "I Can't Live Without My Radio" The track which the album is named after is the one to get things started for this album as you have LL Cool J come on some hard Rick Rubin beats about how his life revolves around his radio, and the music which it plays for him. ...101cd have always serviced me well with my CD needs. I tend to order from either these guys, or Amazon. 101cd have very good deals on chart and new releases. These go for £9.99 which includes p+p. Typically you can expect your order to arrive in around 48 hours. They always have a good budget range for sale, usually these are around the £6-8 mark. You pay p+p on top of these though. As expected you can search by artist, title etc, and look through the whole catalogue. There is very rarely a cd they do not have. Prices do vary though, and they may not be the cheapest around. Sometimes they are, sometimes they aren't! They do offer imports and rare releases.
