...I was given this player to keep me occupied on my many long bus and train journeys. THE PLAYER This is a Japanese mp3 and CD player, which comes in a silver and blue top with a grey base. It is 13cmx13cmx2½cm which is about average size, so its more bag sized than pocket sized. It comes with an adapter and ear bud type headphones. It only has a small display area, so only displays limited information on it, such as which track and album or how long the song has been playing for. There are also little icons to display what modes you have it on, which are discussed later. The buttons are fairly small, so not fab it you are fumbling about in the dark or going under a tunnel, or if you have any arthritic type problems that makes it difficult to press small buttons. CD/MP3 player of kings

Advantages: MP3 playback and long battery life
Disadvantages: The random function doesn't work properly

...Whenever I?ve had to choose a CD player like this, for me or for a present, the first thing I look at is the battery time. This is what first led me to this player, it advertises 30+ hours of CD playback and 48 hours of mp3 playback (these are for non-stop playback, with no skipping. Using the skip a lot will reduce battery time and giving it resting time between playbacks increases battery time.) Those numbers seemed pretty amazing to me from just 2AA batteries. So I bought it.... The round shape looks great and I can?t see how a CD player could get much smaller. It feels very well built, and it takes very big bumps (unusually big) to get it to skip. The remote control is useful for whenever you are carrying it around in your pocket or a bag and don?t want to have to reach into your pocket and fumble around for the buttons...

Multi-function Walkman kicks MP3 players Ass!

Advantages: Excellent MP3 and radio facility, expandable memory, games work well.
Disadvantages: Call quality a little quiet, no flash on camera.

You can expect this phone to completely replace your MP3 player as it has a memory card slot able to hold up to 4GB. Despite the phone coming with just 1GB I have still been able to store hundreds of songs with room for more. Tracks are easily arranged into play lists and artists using Sony?s inbuilt music library. This library can be completely customised and there is also an intriguing ?Track ID? feature were if you are listening to the phones FM Radio it can access the Internet and retrieve the track title, artist and album for you. A Special Special Edition CD Player.

...There are simply not enough superlatives to describe this CD Player. The CD67SE is a single disc CD player. Obviously you're going to have to connect it to something that will do it justice. (My setup involves a Yamaha DSP-A595a and Kef Coda 9 floor-standers. Sound - I play many different music types, from classical to metal and rock. The output of this player is just fantastic and warm. I only ever use the Analogue outputs, since with a player like this you're paying for the expertise that went in to designing the D-A converter in the box to provide you with such a great sound. Outputs - The rear of the unit has Analogue outputs (On a CD Player like this, what else would you use?) and a Digital co-ax and digital optical out. Sony Walkman 16 GB: Great media player, but not without faults...

Advantages: Large 16GB capacity, easy to use interface, easy to transfer music/pictures, superb sound quality.
Disadvantages: Incompatibility with many video formats and competitor mains/USB recharger adaptors

..."Getting Started" On the whole, I found this easy. The player comes preloaded with four music tracks and you can even set music to be automatically transferred from your computer to the Walkman. It comes with software - but to be honest I haven't felt the need to install it as I found transferring media to the player can be done quite easily without it. However, one very important fact I feel you must know is that the Walkman is "not" compatible with many formats of video files. It simply will not play most formats such as .wmv. The use of video format converting software is a must. The format I have found that it generally has no problem with is MP4, Mpeg4, AAC LC, 320:240 resolution and frame rate 30/second. ...Once upon a time I had a car, and it had a radio that didn't work and a cassette player that did. So I used to tape my CD's onto cassettes to listen to in the car. This wasn't ideal, after all a tape only plays for a relatively short time before it needs turning over, but that was all I had. Then I saw an advert in the paper for the Sony D-NE518CK , a CD/mp3 player which came with a car kit that simply went into the cassette slot and you could get upto 30 hours of music one disc.
