The Plazza is a square with grass, trees and flowers in the centre, a small road and car park and then bars, restaurants and a few shops surrounding.
The restaurants all provide pretty much the same cuisine, traditional greek food (Salads, Souvlaki (kebab), lots of Lamb and Veal dishes) along with options such as 'Steak and Chips' for those who...

City Centre Shopping in the Suburbs
Advantages: Under cover, pleasant environment, good range of shops, good opening hours
Disadvantages: Predominantly designed for the car user so public transport links could be better
...a huge Marks & Spencer and having John Lewis so nearby.
The town I live in now does have a large shopping centre but it doesn't have a lot of the names I was used to seeing whenever I shopped in the centre of Edinburgh. Obviously all these stores are available in Glasgow city centre, but parking there can be tricky and walking about with shopping in inclement weather can be trying.

Back in the 1970s while at secondary school I went on a school trip. My school's geography teachers had cleverly planned this trip, choosing to take a large group of fourteen and fifteen year olds on a Mediterranean cruise. As school pupils, we couldn't believe our luck. Once the ship sailed away from Naples we weren't quite so sure about it though. Well...
