Six or Half a Dozen Great Either Way!
Advantages: cheap and fun
Disadvantages: none
...Chad Valley - Sorting Eggs????
These Chad Valley sorting eggs is a toy that Jack has had for nearly a year now and it is only recently that he is really getting the full use out of them. Now he is able to use them how they are meant to be played with I thought I would write a quick review on them.
The sorting eggs are basically half a dozen (six) eggs which come housed in a egg tray type box. Each egg can be taken apart giving a top and bottom part of the egg. The bottom part of the egg is fixed into the egg tray where as the top half of the egg can be taken away. Inside the egg, there is a different colour and a different shape. The shape is made to stick out on the part of the egg that detaches and this can then be fixed into the shape hole in that remains in the tray
On top of each egg there is a picture...

Beaded Beauties!
Advantages: great fun and creative
Disadvantages: a bit fiddly, needs better instructions
...My five year old daughter is very much into everything that she can lay her hands on to do with Disney Princesses. She also loves making things so when it was her birthday I bought her the Hama Beads Disney Princess gift box. She had previously brought home some simple hama bead designs when she was at nursery but this was our experience of having them at home.
The gift set contains 3000 beads, 3 plastic grids to work the design on, one pattern template and two ironing sheets. If you are successful you should have everything you need in order to make an Ariel, a Jasmine and a small fish and bird. There were some very scant instructions on the back of the box which I have to confess I overlooked to start with. Because of this I did not realise that the plastic boards are reusable and there was a short while when I felt annoyed that...

BEEP, BEEP!
Advantages: good price lots of fun
Disadvantages: Daddy plays it too much
...Chad Valley Super Garage
I do believe that I get far more excited about Jacks toys than he does himself. When I see something I had as a child I feel I have to get it and my partner is the same. I feel however that we are going to end up with a rather spoil child on our hands!
Jacks Nana sent down an Easter card and a £20 note instead of chocolate for him this Easter so we decided to get him yet another toy. This time it was my partners turn to get excited as when we popped in Woolworths we saw this Chad Valley Super Garage, and although it didn't look much like the one he had as a child it was the same sort of thing, we just had to buy it.
The original price n this garage was £39.99p although I cannot think who would pay that price for it. It had been reduced down to £24.99 pence and then again to £17.99 pence. I...

Ted E Bear
Advantages: Soft, cuddly and long lasting
Disadvantages: Only available from Woolworths
...As I sit surrounded by mountains of children's toys, each one staring blankly at me waiting patiently to be played with, there is one face that stands out amongst the rest, the oldest and perhaps most loved of all my little boys toys. When we found out we were expecting Christopher 4 years ago my then fiancée, now husband, wanted to buy him his first teddy bear, one that he could keep forever and remember fond times with, working at Woolworths gave him the perfect opportunity to find a suitable bear and he chose the adorable Chad Valley My First Bear in powder blue.
My First Bear-
Chad Valley is a toy range only found in Woolworths stores and so the bear is unique to those stores. Coming in baby pink or powder blue (at the time of purchase) the bear has wonderfully soft "fur", soft and silky like the gentlest lambs wool the plush...

Queen of the Valley
Advantages: Interesting, very interesting!
Disadvantages: The most famous tomb is now closed.
...Day 1 in Egypt, site number 2 (and it is only 09:30), so let's do away with the babble and launch right in....
~What's this place all about then?~
The Valley of the Queens is the burial site for the Queens & children of the Pharaohs of the 18th, 19th & 20th dynasties (1550 - 1070BC). It is said that there are about 70 (some claim as many as 85) different burial sites in the area.
Probably the most famous tomb here is that of Queen Nefertari*, which is the largest and most spectacular in the valley. Unfortunately, this tomb is now no longer open, we were told by our guide that a couple of years ago there was some rain in the valley, which caused some damage to Nefertari's tomb. The Egyptian Government went about restoring the damage, and spent roughly a cool million on it. To recuperate the funds they opened the tomb, but...

Balltastic
Advantages: fun
Disadvantages: can be bought cheaper
...Chad Valley Play Balls.......
Chad Valley is brand of toys that are made for the company Woolworth's. Woolworth's is a popular store around the country and has been going for a long time. The Chad Valley product range is very large and included in this range is these 100 Play Balls especially designed for children.
The Play Balls come held within a plastic carrier container and the 100 balls fit nicely inside (even if it does take a long time to get them al back in the bag!). The price is £4.99 pence, which is about right for this type of product, although I have since seen 100 balls available from Tesco for exactly £4 and the balls themselves are slightly larger in size.
The balls come in a variety of colours and they are blue, green, yellow, red and orange. The balls are made of plastic and have the age range of being...

Hama Beads
Advantages: Keeps children occupied productive
Disadvantages: Fiddly can cause a mess
...)
What are they?- Hamm beads are small beads which can be placed on a board (which may be already made into a shape or you can have a square one to create your own design.) They come in all types of colors and once the product is finished you simply iron over the top to keep the beads in shape. They can be then used as coasters stuck on paper to be used as a card or whatever else your child desires...

Water fun for your children
Advantages: good size
Disadvantages: takes a lot of puff to blow it up
...I was in woolies buying the play balls that I intended to put into a paddling pool for my grandchildren to use as a ball pool; I was also on the look out for a pool to put them in. I spotted this colorful paddling junior pool a Chad valley product. I thought it would be good we could use it both as a pool to put the balls in or as the intended use a paddling pool. It is sale time in Woolworths so this was reduced from £12.99 to £9.99. I thought that a fair price to pay for a paddling pool so I bought it there and then. I f you order it on line there is a 4.99 delivery charge. Website address below:

Finally a noisy baby toy that isn't incredibly annoying!
Advantages: Robust, bright colours, fun noises
Disadvantages: Animals don't stay in their slots
...seems pretty safe for a young child. It also seems very robust as it is constantly getting bashed and dropped by my son yet it is still working.
I imagine this toy was bought from Woolworths originally which is obviously no longer a shopping option. However Argos have taken over the sale of Chad Valley toys and it is currently available from them priced at £14.99....
