...This was the final release for the band before Layne Staleys untimely, but ultimately expected death. After wrestling for years with Heroin addiction, Layne ultimately succumbed and passed away, but not without leaving one last reminder of his majesterial voice. Even though this collection of songs isnt up to par with their classic 'Dirt', their is enough evidence here that Alice in Chains could have continued to scale the heights only if Layne could have fought off the demon. Alice In Chains - Greatest Hits

Advantages: An excellent collection from an excellent band
Disadvantages: Just ten songs...

...The comparison between Alice in Chains and other 'grunge' bands such as Nirvana and Pearl Jam is inevitable, but I will do my upmost to avoid it, as AIC are certainly on a more advanced level. Although Nirvana maybe have been the commerical success, more of the underground rewards went to AIC, with their even darker, heavier approach to the genre. A greatest hits album is just what the band needed to showcase it's skills to the world inside one collection, but with just 10 tracks, it begs the questions as to why so few? I honestly don't know. 'Man In the Box' is the albums opening track, the only track from 1990 release 'Facelift', and it is certainly one of the most famous AIC tracks, and a definite favourite of mine. Chain Reactgion Cycles Review- poor service

Advantages: None, if the service doesn't fulfil it's only basic task!
Disadvantages: Items showing as in stock but not. Waiting for weeks and weeks for orders.

...Chain Reaction Cycles used to be the best. I don't know what's happened in the last few months but it's all been bad experiences. I have given CRC a number of tries lately but each order has been wrong! Wrong amounts or not in stock even though the site says items were. Customer service has been extremely poor and they appear not to care that the item that I've paid for still won't be in stock for another 4 weeks. And it's been in and out of stock on the site twice! As I have said I used to be CRC's biggest fan and I used to send a lot of mountain bike custom their way. Now I'd say avoid them like the plague! Awful, terrible and extremely poor service....

Unplugged In Chains

Advantages: Some interesting versions of classic songs!
Disadvantages: You'll either love it, or hate it! (I love it!)

...Live albums are quite often a record companies approach to ripping off fans, but I am very happy with this acoustic/live album. The recording is very good, and this is an album I like to listen to when I?m in a calm mood, or when its late and I don?t want to annoy the neighbours (or my family!). If you've read any of my other reviews on Alice in Chains I have mentioned about the band going through hard times, and because of the drug abuse which eventually killed Staley in 2002, this album (which was recorded in 1996) was the first show they had managed to play in 3 years! .... THe whole experience has been very frustrating, and frankly I would fear dealing with Chain Reaction Cycles again. I do not wish to spend my money with a company who treat their customers so poorly. Waste of time and money. Safe as F*ck - Goldie Lookin' Chain

Advantages: Brilliantly observed songs, great lyrics & catchy tunes
Disadvantages: Will offend those of more delicate sensibilities

...I'm no fan of rap - I've always been of the opinion that 99% of it is spelt with a silent c if you see what I mean. I did however like the GLC single 'Your Missus Is A Nutter' and on the offchance, bought this album as a download. I thought it might have the odd good track but found myself grinning like a loon throughout the entire album. Goldie Lookin' Chain for those unfamiliar with them are a Welsh rap band who specialise in funny songs full of juvinile, seriously rude and full of swearing lyrics combined with catchy tunes. Not normally my thing (well, not since my twenties, anyway) but there's something about GLC that works for me in a big way 1.: Intro. This is just a filler and one to skip. 2.: Your Missus Is A Nutter. A hit single when released and probably familar to most people. This one talks about someone's girlfriend...

Premier Lodge has now expanded to sufficient locations to make this viable - currently over 110 open and 10 or so opening soon, I believe. Like most Travel Inns and Travelodges, the Premier Lodges I have visited have functional, clean accommodation blocks with identical rooms and standard facilities - bed, chairs, desk, coffee/tea, some with phones, bath/shower/WC.
