...I have just come back from a trip to Chamonix and really can't think of a better place to go skiing/snowboarding! Having read some reviews before setting off to Chamonix for the first time, I wasn't sure what to expect. People say the transportation between resorts was poor and that the lift system was bad. Here are my views:

Chamonix? Mais Oui!
Advantages: Les Balcons du Savoy hotel excellent, great variety of skiing, good snow, great nightlife...
Disadvantages: Buses slow and full
...!) - through the Mont Blanc Tunnel.
Do not miss a trip up the Aguille du Midi cable car to the highest point, even if you dont want to ski down (get a guide if you do). The views are absolutely incredible at 4000m!
The only downside to Chamonix was the length of time we had to waut for buses - they need to be far more frequent. However hiring a car would solve this and really it didn't detract from...

The perfect travelling companion
Advantages: works quickly and effectively, inexpensive, reveving and refreshing
Disadvantages: None
...Both my partner and myself, though thankfully the twins to a lesser extent, suffer from motion sickness, especially when flying or traveling backwards on a train. We have used various methods to relieve the symptoms and possibly one of the most effective we have tried, and both happily agree to its working effectively, is Arkopharma Traveller Stick Roll On which comes in a 4ml plastic tube...
