Review of Guerlain Champs Elysees Eau De Toilette Spray

The champ

Advantages: Brings up some important issues
Disadvantages: none

...Willy the Champ I have always enjoyed Anthony Browne picture books, not only because of the story line but also the illustrations which have lots and lots of detail, and which are often quite humorous. This story is a sequel to Willy the Wimp, and is a great one to read to children who are maybe going through self esteem issues. **Story and Illustrations** We meet Willy (if you didn't meet him in Willy the Wimp) lying on a brightly decorated sofa with a butterfly from the design of the sofa fabric apparently leaving the sofa and flying on the wall. Willy looks very thoughtful and we find out why?he doesn't seem to "be any good at anything". There are some great pictures of him reading and listening to music (which he enjoys) and taking a walk in the park with his friend Millie. Children will love the detail in this...

Review of Willy the Champ - Anthony Browne

The X-Division Champ

Advantages: Lots of bangers
Disadvantages: Some tracks need time to grow

...?Grand Champ? was released in 2003 and came as his fifth album. It finds him making waht could be said to his first album that moved completely away from the darkness that came with his two 1998 records as he broke into the game. This one features many more club-based joints and so gives him the chance to connect with a wider audience, but you still get hints of the past here too. 1. ?Dog Intro? 2. ?My Life? He sets things out with a pretty hardcore one and a track that I felt has a good one to take us right into his world where we are forced to hear him going right in with some of his deeperst stuff. I think that the steady, simplistic structure that you get from this one was nice to have as the opening to the record as you find that it eases you in as initially he simply gives a sort of list of things for you to take with you...

Review of Grand Champ - DMX

♫ "Aux Champs Elysees ♫

Advantages: Good view...
Disadvantages: ...but not the best

...♫ "Aux Champs Elysees? Aux Champs Elysees? Au soleil? sous la pluie?" ♫ Do you know the song? If not, at least you must have heard of the Champs Elysees. French people like to call it "The most beautiful avenue of the world". I am sorry to contradict them, but I have always wondered why. It is in fact quite ordinary. You'll find lots of cars, bad traffic, nice crowded shops and over-expensive coffee. That's it. Oh no! How could I forget? Among all that, you will find one of the most famous sights in Paris: the Arc de Triomphe. It was commissioned by Napoleon in 1806 in order to commemorate his victories, but wasn't finished until 1836. It is 50 meters tall and 45 meters wide. I always thought the Arc de Triomphe was nice to look at, but I had never bothered visited it? until last summer. I had taken my...

O' Champs Elysee?

Advantages: offers lots to do and see
Disadvantages: you never have enough time.

...PARIS the capital of France. I have been many times, for work, for pleasure, for shopping, to parties, to concerts, to museums, to special days such as the 14th July national holiday. For the Tour de France, the World Cup. I use it as a international connection to other countries (by train or plane). I have also got stuck in traffic for many hours whilst trying to get the other side of the city. Depending on the reason of your visit, Paris has so much to offer. Paris has some of the most famous landmarks in history. The Eiffel tower, Le Louvre, L'arc de Triumph, Champs Elysee are among the most renowned. I find that I never have enough time to visit everything I plan to do when I go. I usually plan two activities for the morning and two in the afternoon. The rest of the time to soak up the atmosphere. Enjoying one of the street...

The French Horn

Advantages: Great food, good service, location
Disadvantages: Service a little too over the top and food a little cold

...*Please note ? this is a review of the restaurant part of the hotel* A few weeks ago Mr Tart and myself headed to his parents? for a family gathering. We were all going out for a posh meal on the Sunday and the French Horn was chosen as the location for the event. LOCATION: The French Horn is in Sonning-on-Thames. Sonning is not a big place and the restaurant is on the main road so you can?t miss it (sorry I can?t be more specific ? it doesn?t even give a road name on the website!). It?s not the easiest place to get to as the approaches are all through small, busy roads. There is plenty of parking in the French Horn?s car park opposite the restaurant. The restaurant?s location is what really makes it. It is right on the Thames with the gardens leading down to the river. We went on a beautiful sunny day and the setting...

Review of French Horn Hotel, Sonning on Thames

French.

Advantages: LOW CALORIE
Disadvantages: NONE

...I often buy multipacks of Walkers French Fries as they are lower in calories and fat than standard Walkers crisps, I also find them more interesting and fun to eat plus it seems as though you get more in a bag as each crisp is so thin. The multipacks contain three flavours; Ready Salted, Salt & Vinegar and Cheese & Onion. You can also buy Worcester Sauce flavour, but these are only available as single bags and not everywhere stocks them. A French Fry is not strictly a crisp, according to Walkers Snacks it is a 'crispy potato stick' with each 19g bag containing less than 100 calories. The flavours are quite strong which really satisfies my craving for something savoury and flavoursome. The Cheese & Onion ones are my favourites out of the multipack because they are deliciously salty and have a lovely onion flavour, going easy...

Elysee Soft Touch Permanent Hair Removal Pen

Advantages: Does what it says, removes hair
Disadvantages: None exept make sure where you put the probe

...Elysee Permanent Hair Removal System Having being either disappointed with wax strips and other products for hair removal, and spent fortunes trying to find a product that does what it says, I decided to try the Soft Touch permanent hair removal system by Elysee. The painless and permanent claim drew me to give it a try. So?.. Cost £35 - yes a bit expensive but was worth the price. Contents. The system comes with all you need to operate it (no opening it and having to run to the chemist for anything extra like batteries!), and is neatly packed in a fold over pouch. The instruction guide that comes with it extensively explains how it works and how to use it in a simple way that can be easily understood. How it works Not being a scientist I have had to give the explanation in the booklet. Evidently, when you put the gel...

The Best Street in the World

Advantages: Great place to start your trip
Disadvantages: Need good walking shoes and a pack of plasters

...It has got to be said the Champs Elysees has to be the best Street in the World! I have just come back from an absolutely fantastic time spent on a weekend in Paris - one of the best parts of my trip there was looking down the Champs Elysees from the top of the Arc de Triomphe. Something I will never forget - and will treasure the photo I took of that view! The view is absolutely fantastic - a birds eye view of not only the Champs Elysees but of the whole of Paris strectching over to the Effiel Tower. It certainly is a must-see when visiting Paris. Once you pull yourself away from the dizzy heights of the Arc de Triomphe - be prepared to shop til you drop on the Champs Elysees - and remember to pick your lower jaw up off the floor at the magnificant shops that are there to be seen and explored - everything you could want from...

Learn French in your own time

Advantages: Flexible study
Disadvantages: You need a lot of self-discipline.

...(I have now revised this to include information on course fees.) The range of Open University French courses goes from beginner to advanced and can lead to a formal qualification, such as a certificate or diploma. It is not possible to gain a Bachelor's Degree in French as the number of courses is insufficient, but you could combine French with Spanish, German, or a number of other courses in the field of arts/humanites. For a thirty-point course you will need to set aside about seven or eight hours a week for studying, and twice that for a sixty-point course. Most courses start in February, terminating with an examination the following October. The beginners' course commences in November and finishes in October the following year. You can study from the Republic of Ireland and continental Europe, but fees will be considerably higher...
