...I write this review immediately after using the product. It is WONDERFUL! I have tried almost the entire Chanel Precision Rectifiance line and it seems hit or miss - this is a definite hit! For a serum, the product is a bit thicker than most. It goes on easily and is readily absorbed, with no oily feeling or smell. Then, wait and watch as your skin brightens and plumps, and the lines smooth out. It seems to give me a glow and a evening of skin tone as well as a mildly moisturizing benefit. It's not so heavy that you can't add a lotion on top of it, which I do in the evening. During the day, it is actually perfect alone or under makeup. Chanel's Many-Headed Hydramax

Advantages: Formulations for all skin types (cream, gel and lotion), smoother skin that feels toned after a couple of applications, matching serum top-up for extra dry skin, one jar lasts for ages and smells fresh, clean and gorgeous.
Disadvantages: Prohibitively expensive for a straight-up, non anti-ageing facial moisturiser. Lightly perfumed and non-hypoallergenic - unsuitable for sensitive skin.

Chanel Hydramax Cream a miracle for dry/sensitive skin

Advantages: Perfect for troubled skin and a luxurious treat
Disadvantages: May be too heavy for oily skins - therefor go for hydramax gel

...I have been using Chanel Hydramax Cream for 6 years because it really is the only cream i have ever got on with. My skin is dry and sensitive and this is just so so soothing and comforting, the texture is thick and creamy, you can apply a very small amount which sinks in quickly but more often i use a large blob which makes for a nice buttery massage after which it will take around 5 minutes to sink in completely. This makes a perfect base for make up with no clashing of textures or greasy residue. Your skin is left feeling soft, plumped and comfortable and definetly like what you expect having just used an expensive cream. The scent is just like strawberry angels delight thanks to fruit and flower extracts, this also contains lavender and shea butter. The price tag is a little scary but in my opinion this cream is worth every penny, one...

...Chanel No. 5 will always remain a controversial perfume. Although used and praised for decades it's still a love or hate fragrance. I think it's because of aldehydes, the most important constituents of this fragrance. They possess a waxy, fatty smell that often makes think on washed and dried clothe. Aldehydes are found in nature (for example in a citrus peel), but never in amounts used in Chanel No. 5. That makes this smell a bit unnatural from one side, but it also gives an interesting exotic twist. In my opinion EDP is much softer than EDT version - the aldehydes are less sharp and the floral bouquet is more prominent. On my skin it starts with a fresh citrus note that slightly fades into a floral hart of orange blossom, rose and jasmine. ...I have always liked the Chanel range of perfumes but felt that because they are quite heavy and spicey they are only really suitable for evening time. However, recently Chanel have launched a lighter more flowery perfume called Coco Mademoselle. Because it is quite pricey at between £45 and £60 a bottle I could not justify buying it for myself. So I was delighted when my staff who obviously think I am just a wonderful boss bought me some for Christmas!! This fragrance appears to appeal to both male and females as I have had many compliments whilst wearing it. It also has great staying power, usually most perfumes will dissappear half way through the day however, I find that I prefer to use it as an evening perfume probably due to the fact that it is so expensive and I want it to last as long as possible. I asked for somthing to wipe my hand with- she put a few drops of somthing on a piece of cotton wool- and I wiped away every bit of the stay put lipstick off. Having had a different brand- the maybelline lipstick, and reviewing it as 'will it ever come off'! I realised how amazing this product was- and asked the lady- what was that? And 'HOW MUCH!'
