If you want you can have it turn on automatically after 25 seconds (Settings ? Locks ? Auto Locks). Other functions worth mentioning: -  Calendar  Infrared  Alarm  Timer  Calculator  Note  Stopwatch A downside to the Sony Ericsson T610 is visibility of the screen when it is bright. This may pose a problem when out in direct sunlight. Also I have found the software to be slow on a number of occasions. Overall though I would recommend this mobile. Sony Ericsson T610 ? Not for sunny weather

Advantages: Lots of features, camera, cool look, Bluetooth
Disadvantages: Hard to see display in sunlight, slow software, Battery life

...I got the Sony Ericsson T610, after having owned a Motorola brick-like phone, a Nokia 3310, and then a Nokia 3510i. All I can say is that I do not regret switching from the Nokia phones. I got it free on contract several months ago but you can look to buy a Pay As You Go one for £159.99 to £199.99. You might be able to find one cheaper if you shop around. You can find one on eBay (new or old) and you might be able to find it in other phone shops or swap shops for a bit less than retail price. I think the phone looks great! It?s completely different to what I?ve had in the past and it even has a joystick, which I have never seen on a phone. Advantages: Small, lightweight, 65,000 colors, dual body colors, button spacing
Disadvantages: Difficult to use menu, 2MB memory, not many servicing centers, very poor tech support.

...I had always used either Nokia phones or Motorola phones so when I was given this phone for my birthday I was worried it would take me a while to get used to it. I own a Sony Ericsson T610!

Advantages: Very small, smart and flash.
Disadvantages: Very poor camera and screen.

...When I bought my Sony Ericsson T610 i was wowed by the smart black and silver shell, camera and magnificent ringtones. My old nokia 3310 was nothing compared to it. It had a joystick in the centre, easy to start camera button and very strong buttons. However it was only through using the phone day to day that i realised it's flaws. For instance, it had the very basic capabiities that my old Nokia had; calculator, composable ring tones, date/clock/alarm, game, phone book, messaging and calls. ...Yes you have probably guessed it, i did have this phone for christmas and what a totally fantastic piece of technology it is. I had always been a nokia phone lover until my boyfriend bought my last phone which was the sony ericsson t68. It follows the same pattern as other sony ericsson phone, which is great because it means you dont have to sit and trawl through the 94 page maual to work the phone.(although if you do need to look up anything the manual is very easy to read and follow.) But do not despair if you have never had a sony ericsson phone before because it is very easy to use. The menu is a series of pictures which helps to navigate around the phone ( for example there is a picture of an envelope for messages, a picture of a camera to start the samera etc).
