...Phreik Chat network is an Australian based clone of the former MSN Chat Network, that offers a similar service to the one that was previously run by MSN. In my review I will discuss generally what I think of the network, it staff and its features. I haven?t had a good experience with this site but I will try not to be too biased when I am writing about it. Phreik Chat was first opened in June 2004 to the public, around the time MSN Chat shut it doors due accusations that paedophiles were using the network which is probably true to some extent, but it was really due to financial reasons, but I wont go into that. The site itself runs on an outdated community portal by PHPBB which gives it some major vulnerability in its back bone, the site hasn?t really received any major updates apart from a few graphical changes since it opened...

...I am a big fan of Chat magazine. Normal magazines with plain old articles cooking supplements, agony aunts (or uncles) and horoscopes are just plain old boring. But not with CHAT magazine. On the first page of the magazine are 3 competitions and if memory serves me right there are in the region of 20 competitions in the whole magazine with a chance to win prizes from £50 to £1000, toys, a supermarket trolley dash, toys, clothes or vouchers, holidays, cars and loads more. ...I tend to pick up Chat magazine on a fortnightly/monthly basis rather than weekly but that is no reflection on the magazine itself, more so on my available time. It is published every Thursday. The 78p (Euro 2.50, Canada- $4.00) magazine covers a multitude of topics but I personally buy it for the real life stories and the puzzles. ...Every Thursday Chat magazine appears on the newsagents shelves. It costs 78p and has around 77 pages. The first thing you will notice is a bright front page telling you what is in this weeks issue mostly real life stories. Open up to the next page, dont worry I am not going to do this page by page, and it tells you exactly what is in the magazine under five headings. Cover Stories, more true stories, 18 prize puzzles, your favourites and Bit on the side. Also on this page is Chat to us where you get paid £25 for pictures used and a short message from Gilly Sinclair who is the Editor. I have been reading Chat for a long time now and look forward to every Thursday when the new issue is out. ...I needed a headset with a microphone for the PC, as I intended to start making VoIP calls on my PC and to chat with my friends on MSN. So I decided to purchase the Logitech Internet Chat Headset. I wanted a headset that was lightweight; I didn't want anything bulky, but wanted something that had good sound quality. I looked around a few shops and the headsets I came across looked cheap and nasty, or were really expensive. I decided to browse through the Internet and see what I could find; again I kept finding loads of really pricey headsets (some were around the £50 mark, a lot more than I wanted to spend). Then I came across a review for this particular headset on this site and I was sold (thanks Deru). This headset had a lot to offer at quite a good price, you just have to be careful where you buy it from as the price can vary...

Review of Logitech Internet Chat Headset Headset

How about a weekly chat

Advantages: easy reading, lots of competitions
Disadvantages: doesn't keep you in touch with the real world.(only the soaps)

...This is not a magazine I buy on a regular basis. I do like reading true-life stories though so the other week whilst waiting for a train I decided to give it a go. I was quite impressed with the price, only 66p for 65 pages, quite cheap considering the prices of some magazines around today. The thing that hit me straight away was the amount of competitions there was. I counted 16 in the issue I had, all of which you could enter via one entry form. I managed to get every answer apart from one and it didn’t take up too much of my time, well not considering my train journey was 3 hours. I found the stories interesting, nothing too boring and nothing so over the top it is impossible to believe. I am only 19 and you might be surprised when you have heard about me reading Chat. I do buy younger magazines but seem to get fed...

More then just a Chat - Its a Read

Stood in the queue which seem to take ages I spotted on the shelves a magazine called Chat. The headlines looked gruesome! "Devil Dog ripped off my arm and ate it?.." "This creep was lurking in my loft" "Raped by the man I called Dad" Etc... It was the one about the dog what got me intrigued as I have 2 Westies and they wouldn't dream of hurting anyone or would they?
