Football shirts in general!

Advantages: Last years kit but only £10!
Disadvantages: Not the newest kit!

.... I thought this was a bargain. I have just looked online for this kit from two seasons ago. It is around £5 to £10 also. Due to this being an old kit there are going to be less of them. Also there will be less of certain sizes, probably medium and large. The thing is on Ebay you must look for the word "OFFICIAL". There will no doubt be plenty of replica kits on there. This doesnt't just apply to City shirts either. You will probably find there are more available from clubs like united and chelsea. Everyone knows how much football clubs mark up the prices for retail but buying the shirt for £10 is a fairier representaion of how much this kit cost to make and the person you buy it off may still make some profit on the shirt at this price. ...This is a sports soccer dvd review called golden goal's. Starring many players throughout Chelsea's history as a Soccer club during the television era. Contained on the dvd are one hundred and sixty two goals on a random selection basis There later is a top twenty goals scored section. I guess that some of them were amongst those considered the greatest scored by chelsea football club. Having watched this, it is hard to disagree with the producers of this dvd overall. Presentation wise it is entertaining to watch from a chelsea supporters perspective. Some really amazing goals naturally have been scored over the years. The dvd also highlighted a number of players that I was previously unaware of including Jon Spencer, and lesser known players or not so well remembered players. Glory Glory Tottenham Hotspur - Mansion shirt

Advantages: Ultra light - great for all occasions
Disadvantages: Spurs wording fades on the collar very quickly

Even the Tottenham club shop was out of stock so I ended up buying online form a sports shop in that well known hotbed of football, Cornwall!! £43 later (including P&P) I was in posession of my shirt. On unwrapping it the first thought that came into my mind was how light it is. The label reports it to be 100% polyester. Either way, it is the lightest football shirt I have ever owned, a massive step forward from my 90s Adidas-Holsten shirt. From the top down the shirt comprises of a blue collar with the word 'Spurs' on the back though this actually faded on the first wash. Moving down you get the Puma badge on the right breast with the newly designed Tottenham cockerell on the left...

...Now I have been a Wrexham Supporter all my life. I try to update my shirt every season that it is changed. Being a small club, you can only get your Football shirt from the club shop. Its the same price as a premiership shirt! Far too much. It should be equal in price to your division status. The quality of supplier seems to be equal in division status! SUPERLEAGUE are the official kit suppliers of the Wrexham Strip for 2000-2001 season. This is the same as the previous two years except this year the strip has changed. The new kit had been on order for some time so you can imagine the disgust with the quality of delivery when no new shirts turned up. The Sqaud picture had to be cancelled as there were not even enough shirts for the players to have their pictures taken in!!! Apparently the supplier had sub contracted the job out and that...

Good looking shirt!

...a Portsmouth shirt as they are a good premiership team and have a nice looking shirt and one which I can easily wear around Portsmouth. Though it would not be a good idea to wear it in Southampton - as I was warned by my friend! The shirt is in the colour of plain blue with a small white stripe around the border of the shirt and down the shoulders. It looks really good being just blue as I like wearing blue and the fact that it is relatively plain means it can be worn with most things and will not look too out of place. Advantages: A nice looking, comfortable football shirt
Disadvantages: The 'Fly Emirates' lettering has started to peel off on my shirt!

A poor quality footy shirt from a big club

Advantages: light material, a good colour scheme, neat design
Disadvantages: feels cheap, expensive, hard to wash

...I was bought the Barcalona football shirt as a present it is made by Nike and I would expect a good quality from this brand. Not so the shirt is feather light and is very hard to wash, on the tab in the shirt it says dont not lay ontiself after washing, wash with same colours and do not use softeners,probably because the colours may run into each other. Also you are not supposed to iron this shirt, for a couple of reasons one it may melt and two could stick to your iron, it has a very plasticy feel. I also read on the tab it says keep away from fire!, without doubt we do this with all our clothes, but I find myself thinking this shirt would melt very very easily. The material is more plasticy/nylon/polyester than anything probably to aid the lightness but it isnt very durable, it could rip easy as we see many times watching...

Shows That Simple Need Not Be Plain!

Advantages: Distinct colour, good styling, comfortable, good build quality.
Disadvantages: Colour is not to everyones taste. Plain back if it's not got a name and number.

...don't bother with conditioner unless it's a 2-in-1 detergent. DO NOT tumble dry your football shirts, instead hang them on a rack in a warm room or line dry them. Tumble drying of football shirt material usually results in shrinkage and a lot of printed decals peel away in the heat of a dryer, even set at low heat. I usually wash a dozen or so of my football shirts together, all different makes, colours and materials and have never had a problem when following these guidelines. I've included some pictures with the review fo a couple of key features that should help you spot fakes(As well as the shirt with a name and number so you can see how good that looks). Expensive but what can you do?!

Advantages: Sleek, sporty, still looks good!
Disadvantages: Feels strange but sure I'll get used to it! Women's version is horrible.

...The price and continually changing nature of Premiership football shirts are the kinds of things that continually irritate fans - after all, who really wants to shell out £40 plus to "prove" their status with the club?!
