...Chelsfield Lakes Golf Club 'A good walk spoiled' is how one man once described golf but he was obviously a fool as there are few better ways to pass the time than by playing this most majestic of sports. In my part of the world we are spoilt for choice when it comes to courses and there are ones to suit all standards and pockets. Chelsfield Lakes is a pleasant pay and play course that will satisfy most golfers from beginners to good players. Very low handicappers may not find it enough of a challenge but for us mere mortals it has more than enough to keep us interested without ruining our confidence. The lakes of the title is bit misleading as there are only two on the course. Good Golf Doesn't HAVE To Be Expensive

Advantages: Marvellous course and facilities. Very inexpensive.
Disadvantages: Not a lot.

As with every book club I have heard of there is always the same catch of having to order around six more times in the first year of you becoming a member. Murder at the Golf Club

Advantages: Unusual but good well thought out story
Disadvantages: major characters were weak

This sets of a chain of events that will affect the whole Golf Club and those involved in it in murder, mystery and intrigue. My thoughts on the book: I must admit I did enjoy reading this novel. I found it well thought out and certainly very different from what I was expecting. It was a good mystery that leads the reader down an avenue you would not expect, certainly when you read the summary of it. As a result of this at no time did I really know where the author was taking me but I enjoyed the trip. The wee lass was in tow, not to play herself, (the course was just a tad too difficult for her) but to drive the ride-on buggy that her old dad had booked to conserve his energy in the roasting temperatures you can get in Rome at this time of year.
