...When I sit and watch television in the evening I like something to munch, the `something` all depends on my mood. There are times when I reach for the biscuit tin, other times when a bar of Cadbury`s will do the trick and times when I feel like something savoury. There aren't many crisps and potato snacks that I don't like, but Kettle Chips have to be one of my favourite snacks. Maybe they remind me of my childhood, my Mum used to peel and slice some potatoes very thinly and then deep fry them, the result was much like a Kettle chip. Kettle chips are produced at a factory in Norwich, interestingly enough by a firm called Kettle Foods! I have always thought of them as an adult snack, let the children enjoy their Monster Munch and their Wotsits and let the adults enjoy the unique taste of the Kettle chips. A pack of any flavour...

...TY Beanies are adorable, there is no wonder my friends and I were cray for these little soft toys! The TY beanies came in all sorts of varieties, whether animal or bear. They each had their own special name, and between us, my friends and I owned and could name pretty much every one going! One of the teddies is a cat named Chip. The cats were always a favourite of mine, since I have grown up with them. Chip is particularly adorable. She is what I call the 'flimsy' TY, which lie on their bellies. She is quite long and has fur colours of brown and white, with a little black over his eye and her arm. She has little whiskers and little beady eyes. You cannot deny that Chip is gorgeous! Chip is not the softest of beanies, but he is still quite warm and a little soft. Her fur is smooth and if you stroke her gently with one finger, it tickles...

Chips and curry... chip shop style.

Advantages: Cheap, easy to cook and delicious.
Disadvantages: Obviously not a health food!

...! And now, after the waffle, I finally get to the product in question, this meal combines two of my husbands favourite things?.. The product I will now review is "Asda - chips and curry sauce". Ok, so its not cordon bleu cooking, but it delicious and cheap, so that in itself is a start! The packaging has the same colour and theme as all the other Asda own brand ready meals. The colour scheme is navy blue and there is a large picture of the chips and curry sauce piled on a plate. There is all the usual information on the box, brand name, product name, description, weight (400g) and finally nutritional information. This is a frozen meal so this comes in the obligatory plastic microwavable container with the clear plastic lid. Review of Asda Chips and Curry Sauce

The best fish and chips in Wales and it's official!

Advantages: Food, service, cleanliness all excellent
Disadvantages: None apart from the dreaded calories!

...As some of you will already know we live in Llandudno and I am happy to tell you that we boast an award winning fish and chip shop ? in fact it came second in Great Britain in the National Fish and Chip Shop of the Year a couple of years ago. Incidentally on the way up to Edinburgh we tried the fish and chips at the winning shop in Biggar and they are nowhere near as good as ours! The chip shop in question is called Fish Tram Chips which you may think is an odd name but it is directly opposite the terminal where you catch the tram up to the summit of the Great Orme so that explains the name then. ...Aunt Bessies Crinkle Cut Chips are actually really very good. I am always a bit dubious about frozen chips but these were the only thing in Sainsburys and I was making a steak dinner for my husband so thought they would go great with it. They were only £1.69 a bag and I had tried Aunt Bessie's Yorkshire puddings before which weren't bad so in the basket they went. On the bag they are described as generously cut whole potatoes for the crispiest, crinkliest, chips every time. They were very easy to cook. You place them on a baking tray (I like to line it with tin foil so the baking tray is easier to clean) and then put them in the oven for approximately 20-25 minutes. I find 25 minutes is best if you like them with a bit of colour, if not 20 minutes is fine. When they came out of the oven I was very impressed. They were a lovely...

...I took my 6 year old son on the weekly food shop with me in the half term holidays - big mistake! His little eyes lit up at the sight of all the goodies on Tescos shelves. When walking through the freezer section he noticed some McCain Micro Chips in the freezer and asked if he could have some as his best friend liked them! I'm not a fan of frozen chips as a whole but to keep him happy I threw a packet in the trolley. Each packet of Micro Chips is a small, black, rectangular cardboard box. The box has a perforated front which you rip open before you microwave them. When I opened the front up the chips looked quite cheap in appearence. The chips themselves are quite long and thinly cut. ...Passing through the supermarket aisles more often than not gives me an attack of the `munchies` , they always advise that you eat before you shop and I do! honestly! Cheap as chocolate chips!

...Having two little girls who would eat me out of house and home if I let them, I am always on the look out for snacks that taste nice but don't cost a fortune. My girls are very fond of chocolate chip cookies and I used to buy them the Maryland ones until I noticed Sainsbury's chocolate chip cookies sitting next to them on the shelf and thought I would give them a try! The first thing tht I like about these cookies is that they come in a double size packet which has a good chance of lasting us all week. This size packet has 400 grams worth of biscuits and only costs 55 pence, compared to Maryland which in Sainsburys costs 79 pence for only a 150 gram packet.
