McVities Milk chocolate digestive biscuits

Advantages: A superb chocolate biscuit
Disadvantages: too many arent good for the figure!

...This week Sainsbury`s have McVities chocolate digestives on offer, a whacking 50% reduction. The biscuits have a good sell by date on them so I stocked up and bought four packets. If they had been on the shelf at full price I would have more than likely considered buying their own brand or even buying the Sainsburys Basic range chocolate digestive. Admittedly the own brand and basic range don`t have the refined almost `syrupy` taste of McVities but when the chips are downits beetr to keep a tight rein on the weekly shopping budget. Like eating cardboard (Tesco Reduced Fat Chocolate Digestive)

Advantages: None
Disadvantages: Taste awful and are not much better for you

...Recently my other half has decided he wants to start eating a bit more healthy so long gone are the chocolate bars, crisps and sweets, the only problem is he likes to pick at food, the first thing he does when he comes home from work is look in the cupboards to see what he can eat. I suggested buying lots of fruit as this would be a healthy alternative to pick at when he gets home but that went down like a lead balloon (I think I was taking the healthy option a little too far lol). Digestive Delight!

Advantages: Scrumptious, on offer, widely available, large quantity

...As a child I loved crunch corners, often devouring more than 1 a day. Since then however, Muller have produced a large number of newer corners, in lots of delightful flavours. One of the ones I hadn't tried untill a couple of days ago was in fact the one I am going to be reviewing today. Discovering the amazing offer for 10 corners for £2 a couple of weeks ago in Asda, I was delighted and straight away took them up on the offer. Among the various fruit,crunch and dessert corners I flung into the trolley, there was the "Milk chocolate digestive corner". Being a huge fan of chocolate, digestives and yogurt, I was more than happy to sample, and so I bought 2! Individually a corner sells for 54p. Quite expensive for a single yogurt, but for what you get it isn't actually to bad! The foil lid is the only way to determine each crunch...

...Years ago McVities created the digestive biscuit, then one day someone had the great idea of improving them for the mdern chocolate lover. Therefore the biscuit known as the chocolate digestive was created, and me and women all over the country were thankfull. Thankful for the great taste - one step up from the original digestive. The biscuit itself is identical to the original - the only difference being the layer of chocolate on the tp - which is quite thin. The packaging is easy to spot - like the original biscuits but in a brown coloured packet instead of the normal blue. They even come in a dark chocolate version so you can alternate and not get bored. These are one of those foods that once you eat one you cant stop - not necessarily a good thing as each one contains a whopping 4 grams of fat! Thats not a problem if you...

...I like the odd McVitie's Chocolate Digestive, as long as it's not too odd, that is. They're probably one of the best-known biccies in the UK, which is not surprising really, as they've been around quite a while, since 1925 in fact, and according to their website, a staggering 71 million packets of these fellas are chomped every year in the UK. That's a mind-blowing 52 bics a sec! I often find that after a particularly satisfying blow-job, nothing beats a cuppa and a biccy, and what better biscuit to ensure my tea's not too wet, than a McVitie's Chocolate Digestive (hereafter referred to as MCD)...or three. ...I was feeling in need of some biscuits for the weekend and in Tesco's bought some McVities milk chocolate caramel biscuits, they cost me £1.09 for a 300g packet. McVities have been making biscuits for years and years and years over 100 years. McVities in now one of united biscuits brands. The digestive biscuit is very popular as a plain biscuit , in 1925 the first mc vities chocolate covered biscuit was produced since then there has been many additions to this range in 1999 the chocolate caramel covered digestive was launched. Choc Digestive Smart Price biscuits...Yuk.

Advantages: Smart Price 27p
Disadvantages: Not very chocolaty, very hard and crunchy. Don't like. Not nice.

... Asda Smart Price Milk Choc Digestives.... Spotted these cruising down the biscuit isle at asda - as cheap as - at 27p so in the trolley they went, we already buy some of the other Smart Price Stuff including some of the biscuits so thought these would do the job. So my 27p got me 300g worth of biscuits about 20 of them I'd guess, on went the kettle and out with them. The packaging is standard no frills white and green 'Smart-Price' plastic, does the job with no excess packaging. Pack states "Produced in the Uk For Asda Stores Ltd" I won't bore you with ALL the ingrediants and labeling etc ...But: Fat is 2.9g and Sodium (Equiv. as Salt) is 0.2g per Biscuit. Sweet Milky Chocolate Biscuits

Advantages: Sweet and chocolatey

...I love biscuits especially chocolate ones but they are so very unhealthy. Despite trying to cut back on the amount of them I eat I still cannot resist a chocolate digestive when I see one that's why I bought McVities Milk Chocolate Homewheat Digestives. Now I'm sure that most people all know what a chocolate digestive is but for those of you who don't I shall explain. A digestive biscuit is rather different to other biscuits as it is made of wheat and has a sweet wheat taste that you just don't get in any of the others. It also has a nice texture, not like the smooth mush you get when you are halfway through eating a Rich Tea, these have a slightly rougher texture and are easier to break down, which is why they are called Digestive Biscuits as you can digest them more easily than others.
