Ryan at his best

Advantages: Exciting, Exhilirating, One of the best books ever written(IMO)
Disadvantages: may induce craziness due to tension, really cant think of any

Out of the frying pan - into the "Land Of Fire"

Advantages: A good gripping read
Disadvantages: Not everyones cup of tea

...be revealed if you read the book. Land Of Fire has been written by Chris Ryan a man who has been there, done that and got the T-Shirt. Now in his 40's Ryan served 10 years in the SAS and saw much active service during this time. He's best known for his book 'The One That Got Away' which recounts his true story of evading the Iraqi army during the first Gulf War. He was the only member of an eight man team who wasn't captured or killed by the Iraqi's and managed to escape to Syria. This feat earned him the Military Medal. Saving Private Ryan

Advantages: Moving story, great scenes
Disadvantages: Bloody

...Saving Private Ryan "In the last great invasion, of the last Great War, the greatest danger for eight men?..was saving one." This film starts with a bang, literally, on the beaches of World War 2's historic D-Day invasion, a very intense and moving scene. If you are at all squeamish this is not really a film for you as, the beginning in particular and actually much of the rest of film is brutal and bloody and features blood, guts and missing limbs, however it is so good and so powerful you should look past all the gore to experience this wonderful movie. This 1998 film is described as a poignant and powerful homage to the soldiers of WW2. Like I said it starts on the beaches depicting the D-Day landings. If you are not familiar with the D-Day landings they are described as the first operations of the Allied Powers' invasion...

Growing Up with Chris

Advantages: Loveable and good songs

...I can't say it is hard to get confused when it comes to this youngsters album, as Chris Brown released his debut album in late 2005, the album would appear with different versions and different covers (as highlighted by the wide variety of albums by the artist to review). All versions of the album went by the self-titled name of 'Chris Brown' however the track amounts vary from 8 to 15. For the purposes of this review, I shall be reviewing the eight track version of the album. Welcome to Chris Brown's world. When Chris Brown first burst on to the scene it would be with the single 'Run It', that is the first track on the album if you do not count the Intro (See The Light). My Impression ************ This is Ryan?s 9th book and only the second one I have read as to be perfectly honest i prefer Andy McNab?s writing style. However that said this book has started to turn me towards Chris Ryan style as this is a thoroughly enjoyable read and i often found myself sitting there at midnight still reading even though an hour before it was only going to be a paragraph. It?s one of those books that when you start reading it just seems to hook you into the action and you?ve got to continue reading and when you realise you?ve got to your reluctant to put it down. Well all except the Chris Ryan?s SAS Fitness Book and as I?m a girl who find?s she?d rather take an elevator than one flight of stairs who could blame me. Mr Ryan?s books are great because unlike some of his competitors in the SAS book writing field, he doesn?t get lost telling you all about what such and such a weapon does. He clearly knows his stuff and gives a quick relevant explanation that makes you feel like you?ve just had an insight into his world but doesn?t bore you to death with details. Don?t get me wrong I understand that the other writers like to include this information so that real soldiers will read the books and see that they know what there talking about. However, for the average Joe Blogs, Ryan is a breath of fresh air and I am sure it hasn?t stopped anyone in...
