With Christmas fast approaching it was inevitable that I was going to be purchasing a few books for my son, whilst browsing through books to buy for him I decided to have a look at the Christmas selection of books on offer. Like all toddlers my son loves stickers, so when I spotted The Christmas sticker book for just £2.99 I wasted no time in adding one to my basket. ...The things about Christmas which I feel is great is that you get to spend time with your family and get treats which you wouldn't normally get during the year. This is what I love about Christmas and my wishes for this year. 1. My first wish would be that I start to feel a bit better. I am currently pregnant and was very under the weather at the start of my pregnancy with sickness and migraines. Thankfully Christmas has come early and as my migraines have started to ease so fingers crossed they are away for the New Year. A Spanish Christmas...

Advantages: Umm...It'll be over within 24 hours?
Disadvantages: It just won't be the same!

...I'm a bit of a scrooge when it comes to Christmas, I don't particularly like it although I do buy people really good presents - so I'm told. I don't get excited anymore like I did when I was a child, which I suppose is normal. But my boyfriend and his family are Christmas Crazies! I went to their house last night and it's honestly like Santa's Grotto! Flashing lights, santa climbing down the side of window, alternating rudolphs and santas on the stairs, it's mental. I love how daft they all go around Christmas and how much they appreciate being able to be around their family, whereas my family aren't really as close as that so Christmas isn't a special day for us. ...I would just like to write a review on my plans for Christmas 2009, now that we are actually in fact now already in to the month of December. Sadly, they won't quite go according to how the family in general planned it as my grandmother sadly passed away yesterday (30th November) at the age of 90. But as the saying goes, that's life. Still, that is not to say that Christmas will not be an enjoyable time as we can look back at the more happier times this year anyhow. So how will I be planning on spending Christmas this year? Work I currently am not in paid employment, so I can be safe in the knowledge that although I shall miss all of the nurses' tea total parties I do not actually to worry about having to going to work actually on Christmas Day in itself. ...I bought this DVD about 2 years ago for myself when I was at University and Christmas was coming up. I was missing my family a lot, and I always saw these shows with my parents every year from when I was about 3 years old. So I knew it would be a great thing for me to watch to feel Christmassy. And this morning I was sorting out my Christmassy films and I found this one on the shelf. Harry grabbed it and kissed Father Christmas, so I put it on for my son's first ever viewing of the classic The Snowman and Father Christmas. Both of these are stories by the wonderfully talented Raymond Briggs bought to life in animated short stories. The Snowman is probably the best known Christmas story there is for young children, dating all the way back to 1982, 4 years before I was even born! ...I love Christmas movies , me! Without festive movies , Christmas isn't Christmas! You just have to have Christmas Movies! I find they really get me in the Christmas spirit! I could watch Christmas movies all year round without getting tired of them , although I do find I enjoy them so much more around the festive time. It's Christmas!

...With Christmas only 5 weeks away, myself and Harry's dad are trying to get him into the concept of Christmas and everything related to it. He gets that Father Christmas will be visiting if he's been a good boy, and he knows about Christmas trees but thats about as far as a 2 1/2 year olds understanding goes! So when I saw this book a few weeks ago in my Red House catalogue for a really great price, I couldn't resist and I thought it'd be a nice educational book for Harry and I to sit and share together in the build-up to Christmas. This book is the brain-child of those fabulous people at Usborne, who really to seem to have the edge on children's books in my opinion.
