A Christmas Tradition in our house.

Advantages: Beautiful heartwarming story that the children love as much as I do.
Disadvantages: When the children outgrow stories I will have to read this myself every year!

...I have always loved the Berenstain Bears, and I really love Christmas as well, so the odds of my liking this book were quite high, But this book far exceeds expectations. This is one of those books that just completely captures the true magic of Christmas. As Halloween is now past, it is time to start on the Christmas stories in our home. I always think story books are a good way to build excitement for the next holiday, and get into the spirit of things. It also helps younger children to have an idea what it is all about. This book is a Christmas tradition in our home. I just couldn't imagine Christmas time without all of our Christmas stories and this is certainly one of the best. A Christmas Tradition

Advantages: A classic story combined with classic puppets
Disadvantages: NONE

...Now I'm sure that everyone is well aware of Charles Dickens' classic story A Christmas Carol and hedge my bets to suggest that everyone has seen at least one TV or film adaptation of this wonderful novel. I myself have seen a quantity of versions yet I can easily say with a great deal of conviction that the Muppet Christmas Carol is my favourite and in my opinion the best version to date. Like I said earlier I'm sure you all know the classic story and so I won't spend long explaining it: Scrooge is a mean old miser who despite being rather a rich man refuses to give anything to charity and treats his workers like dirt. ...Wright?s Coal Tar Soap has been around for donkey's years - 150 of them, to be exact. I can definietley remember us using this when I was little and I think my grandmother also used it on her kids. It is a long-standing traditional and old fashioned smell which brings back memories of coming in from footy pratice after school and being made to go straight in the bath. Every time I smell Wright?s Coal Tar Soap it reminds me of when I was little and it is a very distinctive smell which is hard to describe. It gives a good lather and you don't need to rub it in your hands for too long before it lathers up. The smell will stay on your skin for a long time after its been rinsed off. My other half really doesn't like Wright?s Coal Tar Soap at all and she says it makes her gag. Even if it just stands in the soap dish in our bathroom it...
