Sanders Aftershave, Paris

Advantages: Cool, quality masculine smell
Disadvantages: Hard to come by in the shops

...Well my birthday has passed, its time to get to work. As per usual I put on the first aftershave that I can grab as I run out the door. The latest one in the collection in my bathroom is Sander for Men. I don't honestly think I have seen this for sale in the UK but then I don't go out of my way to look for aftershaves but rely on kind friends and family to furnish me with aftershaves on birthdays and at Christmas. The Sanders bottle is a 75 ml bottle made by Jil Sander of Paris. On the bottle it is described as " A Bracing Aftershave". Well I have to agree with that. Oh so many aftershaves these days smell a little basic and don't really have any here nor there, perhaps the word feminine is what I am looking for. Advantages: Great characters, situations familiar to all of us

Surprising Picture Quality - Panasonic DVD-S54

Advantages: Incredible picture quality when compared to my old non-upscaling player with a scart lead
Disadvantages: Sometimes disc drive can be really noisy when DVD's initially load.

Admittedly it was a slightly selfish purchase as we both live at home and wanted to watch DVDs on the big new TV ourselves! We bought the player from the electrical retailer Comet for about £100 just before Christmas so there were no discounts applied. ...The Bosch sander was bought as a replacement for my aged Black & Decker one. After a few years of loyal service the motor had burnt out, this seems to be common with some of their tools so I decided to spend a bit extra. B&Q had a good range of 1/3 and 1/2 sheet sanders. They ranged in price from £10 (how can they make them so cheap ?) up to about £50. Decided on the Bosch at £30. This was a 1/3 sheet sander, the sheets are easy to change by moving a lever up on each side. It is fairly quiet and the quality of finish is always good. ...Christopher Pike is an absolutely fantastic writer, i have read many of his books and have been sad to finish them. Final friends takes you through 3 books: Final Friends 1- the party Final Friends 2- the dance Final Friends 3- the graduation In the first book of the trilogy, a young girl called Alice dies from an aparant suicide at her own party but her close friend michel thinks otherwise. He thinks she was murdered. The books then follow the lives of Alice's friends including Michel who has taken the role as a detective to find out the truth about his friends death. More people die, others get hurt but eventually the truth is revealed. I loved all three of these books, they kept me hooked all the way through. These are not just your average mystery thrillers, they are much more. Pike does not just focus on the one issue...
