Write poetry for yourself not others
Advantages: Poetry is more for yourself than anyone else
Disadvantages: People can be cruel about poetry - ignore them!
...Swirling clouds around my head,
As I ponder the question at hand,
After digesting all the poems I have read,
Throughout this sordid land.
I seek to advice those who write,
Those with a need to become a bard,
Writing good poetry can take all night,
And be very very hard.
Poetry is a funny beast,
With many forms around,
Some funny variations from the east,
Are based on syllables...
