The alternative cigarette!

Advantages: No smell, no harmful chemicals except nicotine
Disadvantages: The taste at first, can be expensive to start up

...My New Years Resolution this year is to give up smoking as I'm fed up of wasting my money on them. I have tried Niquitin lozenges in the past and have found they work well (it's my willpower that's usually lacking!) but my boyfriend came home with a SuperSmoker cigarette for us to try as another substitute. The worlds coolest lighter

Advantages: Very cool(if that is not an oxymoron for a lighter)

...the Zippo so that you remove the lid and light the lighter in one smooth movement. This probably takes some practice and, rather like juggling, this seems like a pointless way to spend ones time. Another problem is that the lighter do not always light on the first attempt. This can mean that your attempt to look cool and destroyed by the failure of the lighter. Undoubtedly it would be a cool thing to be able to light a beautiful strangers cigarette in an elegant and sophisticated manner when and if it works. I have also heard the rumour that you can light a zippo by just clicking your fingers, I doubt this and I have never seen it done. It seems unlikely unless you have very dry and hot fingers. Royal Smokers' M7, my first e-cigarette

Advantages: no smoke, no tar, no burning side-products, you don't smell nasty, no ash, you can smoke in bed!
Disadvantages: starting price, battery needs charging kinda often, you feel funny at first

Zippo Lighter Fluid - very long lasting!

Advantages: Good Looking, Long Lasting, Works Well.
Disadvantages: A tad more expensive than other brands.

...I decided for the first time last christmas to buy actual Zippo Lighter Fluid, rather than the generic yellow brand you can also get in most shops. I bought my other half a Zippo lighter and got offered a cheaper deal if I bought some flints and lighter fluid of the same brand so I did. It seemed to last a lot longer in the lighter than the other brand I've used in the past, as well as looking better on your shelf in my opinion. It was still going up until 2 months ago, meaning it lasted two heavy smokers eight months. In the past with other lighter fluids, they havn't lasted even half as long. It was a good deal, lasted well, worked well and looks good. I would definately recommend it over other brands and will use it from now on....
