Cisco IP Phone 7941

Advantages: ease of use, strong, durable, linking into GAL, remote managment and upgrades from call manager.
Disadvantages: Call quality is dependant on quality of the Network. Duplex settings, over utilized network, etc

...In my experience with the Cisco IP phone 7941, which has been for 5 years or so, has been nothing but pleasure. There features to link into AD and the ability to log onto any phone in the building and look up a user on the GAL on AD is very handy indeed. Call Transfer,Conference, Mute are the standard features. The Phones will have to be set up to work with a call manager, Which is a centre point to manage the phones, and has the ability to record conversation for quality control, etc. They have 2 options when it comes to powering these phones, on is to buy a power adapter, the other is to buy a Cisco Switch that can supply power to the phones via Ethernet. ...Well a few months ago my phone contract came up for renewal. I have been a customer of O2 for a long time and so I know that I can always get myself a good deal on a contract. I also wanted a new phone as part of the deal as my old phone was looking a bit old and scratched etc. I rang up O2 and managed to get myself a great deal as usual and they asked what new phone I would like. I had seen the Nokia 6500 Classic on a few websites and quite liked the look of it so asked for it. They were able to give me the phone I wanted which was great and I haven't been disappointed. When I look for a phone I want something that is simple to use and attractive at the same time. I have had slide phones and flip phones before and although they are quite attractive and small as well I found that I actually preferred just a straightforward phone...

...After recently getting rid of my old Orange contract and moving to O2 I decided to get a new phone as well. After much deliberation I decided on the Nokia 6500 slide in black. I could have got the silver phone at a much cheaper price but I decided that the black one looked too good to turn down. First Impressions If you look at the phone from a top down view you will see that the screen is quite big. Infact it is 2.2 inches which is fairly big. Below the screen are four buttons as well as 4 directional buttons in silver. The bottom two buttons are the main calling buttons. The one on the bottom left is the green "call" button which is used to dial a number you've typed in or look at the recent call list. The one on the bottom right is the "end call" button which ends calls and, when in the menu, takes you back to the home screen...

Advantages: Wide array of featues, good build quality, overall friendly interface, excellent call clarity.
Disadvantages: Battery life could be better, some features not implemented as well as possible.

...would still recommend the Nokia 6500 to any buyer, particularly those who have been missing out on a number of newer features. The problems I have encountered may be mildly irritating at the time but they only slightly detract from an otherwise very good product....

...After using my Nokia 6300 for around a year I decided to upgrade. I had the choice of a number of phones however opted to go for the Nokia 6500 Slide. I can see where some confusion can come from when it comes to the Nokia 6500: The Nokia 6500 Classic and Nokia 6500 Slide are two quite different phones. The classic came first and has a more traditional mobile phone layout and boasts a medicore 2.0MP camera. The slide on the other hand is the upgrade to the Classic and boasts an ultra sleek slide design with a pretty good 3.2MP camera with flash. It also comes with a front facing camera however unfortunately it can only be used while making 3G video calls and not just to take pictures. Although the phone looks very sleek and well built. I have had the phone for around a month and when I press the buttons it sometimes does not...
