Cisco IP Phone 7941

Advantages: ease of use, strong, durable, linking into GAL, remote managment and upgrades from call manager.
Disadvantages: Call quality is dependant on quality of the Network. Duplex settings, over utilized network, etc

...In my experience with the Cisco IP phone 7941, which has been for 5 years or so, has been nothing but pleasure. There features to link into AD and the ability to log onto any phone in the building and look up a user on the GAL on AD is very handy indeed. Call Transfer,Conference, Mute are the standard features. The Phones will have to be set up to work with a call manager, Which is a centre point to manage the phones, and has the ability to record conversation for quality control, etc. They have 2 options when it comes to powering these phones, on is to buy a power adapter, the other is to buy a Cisco Switch that can supply power to the phones via Ethernet. They are strong and reliable, they have been used as call centre phones, and we know what kind of abuse they would be put through in that environment. All in all, i would rate...

Obi Wan Kenobi ... hero of the Clone Wars !!!

Advantages: Great design, well made and lots of accessories.
Disadvantages: Costly ... you don't get much change from a tenner these days when buying an action

Everything from the simple [but effective] packaging design to the quality of the toys themselves has been exremely well thought out and in my opinion the Clone Wars toys are some of Hasbro's finest to date. The characters in the traditional 3.75" range look awesome ... and Obi Wan Kenobi is a fine example...

Cisco IP-Phone 7941

Advantages: works well, has all features expected from a modern phone, easy user interface
Disadvantages: head phones are very expensive

...I have this phone on my desk and it is really excellent. I don't have any problems. It looks like new and it is used every working day. The user interface is very easy and intuitive. The phone has a small light which is red when the phone rings. This is great becuase all my colleagues have the same phone and sometimes we don't know which phone rings. In addition it is possible to change the ring tone. The display has big letters, you may see what was the last missed calls. You may forward the call to an other number. Nothing is missing - all functions are there. I didn't manage to create my own phone book but maybe because this is an IP phone. The phone fell on the floor more than one time and it is still working. The speakerphone works well and you may set the volume and save the settings. There are some variants with a colour...

Nectar Card

Advantages: Lots of retailers to collect with
Disadvantages: Online points may not equal amount of cashback available elsewhere

...The nectar card is the loyalty card associated with Sainsbury's, however it has since branched out and is affiliated with many companies which allows for maximum point collecting! Let's start with the basics, you get 2 points per pound spent at Sainsburys or 1 point per litre of petrol bought at the Sainsbury's petrol garage. Each point accumulated is worth half a penny, so you need 2 points to equal 1 pence. If you redeem your points in store at Sainbury's then you will need minimum 500 points for £2.50 off o your shopping. Points need to be redeemed in increments of 500. Points can also be collected in other stores, for example Dolland and Aitchinson also give 2 points per pound, as do Homebase. Basic Cisco Course

Advantages: More money @ work, More Knowledge

...I work in the Network Security Industry & work for a company called Equant (Who provide Global Network solutions & own the largest privately owned Network in the World), & was looking for a basic level Cisco course to achieve an acreditation. The ICND course (Interconnecting Cisco Network Devices) is an ideal course to start. Although very Cisco orientated (as you could imagine), it doe sgive you a valuable basic knowledge of how the Cisco products interact with each other & other devices & networks (ie: Novell, which has recently dumped it's own IPX protocol, in favour of IP, this makes things easier as you can now deal with IP addressing & not just MAC addresses). I went on an ICND course provided by a company called Getronics, based in Milton Keynes, I am now planning to take the Cisco CCNA exam, which is the first Certification...

Obsolete, but perfect for Cisco exams

Advantages: Very Cheap, with lots of features
Disadvantages: Will help with CCNA, but may stuggle with CCNP

...I bought one of these routers off ebay to help with my upcoming (Cisco) CCNA exam. These are by no means cutting edge routers, and are obsolete now as they only support 10Mbps via their AUI (lan) port and support a limited amount of protocols. The router itself has one AUI port, which when used with a transceiver can connect to either another router or a switch (at 10Mbps); 2 serial ports which can be configured with a routing protocol such as frame relay to connect to another switch or ISP data terminal equipment, a console port to configure the router itself, and an AUX port for modem connection. Though well past it's sell by date, the switch is perfect to get to grips with Ciscos IOS (internetwork Operating System) and set up simple routed networks in conjuction with other routers and switches. Working for the well known card shop

Advantages: nice staff, not complicated work
Disadvantages: not the best paid job!

The shop may have changed slightly since then on how it's run but judging by the other reviews, it hasn't changed much! I was employed by Clinton cards for just under 3 years and during this time I did do quite a bit of training. I'll start from the beginning and cover as much as I can! Quality cards at bargain prices

Advantages: Excellent value for money, great promotions
Disadvantages: Shops always busy, some relatives hard to find

...I'm slightly unaccustomed to writing reviews on shops in general, but I was thinking of something to write and this popped into my mind. I first discovered Card Factory a few years ago, after walking past it umpteen times and dismissing it as yet another card/birthday shop on the high street. One particular day I was struggling to find a good sentimental card for Mum's birthday that wasn't going to break the bank, so I thought I'd give it a try. Since that day, Card Factory has been my number one stop for all my greetings card needs. The shops are not terribly big, and usually crowded so getting around with a buggy is always difficult.
