The camera supports dual codecs (MPEG-4 and MJPEG), which can be used simultaneously. MPEG-4 gives efficient bandwidth consumption with good-quality compression and is optimal for real-time viewing of video. MJPEG gives optimal video quality, making it ideal for large-volume storage to a network attached storage (NAS) device. The Cisco WVC210's audio capabilities include two-way audio, an embedded microphone, external speaker and microphone ports, and voice compression. With extensive support for features such as IP multicast, Real Time Streaming Protocol (RTSP), Real Time Protocol (RTP), and 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP), it enables video to be viewed from multiple endpoints and client applications, such as 3G phones and QuickTime clients on PCs or Wi-Fi phones. Network protocols such as 802.1p priority, 802.1Q VLANs, and Dynamic DNS (DDNS) are also supported. The WVC210 can also be managed securely using HTTPS. The pan/tilt and digital zoom functions allow you to remotely control the camera movement and focus, giving you maximum remote flexibility. Up to 10 simultaneous unicast users can access the camera at any time. Software is included for monitoring multiple cameras and recording to your hard drive, with advanced search by time and date. Top choice for desktop wireless connectivity
Advantages: High quality and will offer a solid connection.
Disadvantages: This isn't a 'n' model, so max connection speed is 54mbps
...I've used several of these PCI network cards to connect a Desktop PC to a wireless network.
Although this model can connect at 802.11g 54mbps and backwards (b, a), it still offers a decent speed and more importantly reliable and solid connection so long as your router has a good range.
I have found that even when the signal strength isn't the best, the Cisco Aironet card and its ariel will connect where other cheaper adapters won't.
It also has a length of cable for the ariel (which has a stand to sit on a desktop or where ever). Other cards have the ariel connected directly to the card itself and I've found that sometimes does offer the best chance of getting the strongest wireless signal.
Components and built quality, as you'd expect with Cisco, are high quality. Installation is straight forward, just a case of popping in...

CASTING A LITTLE LIGHT ON THE MATTER-CISCO CEILING LIGHT
Advantages: Reasonably priced. Provides good light.Look good for the price.
Disadvantages: Lots of bulbs to replace
...on my daughter's return from school, left on my table. (I am not pleased!) And I need decent lighting for using the P.C.
Our previous lights with the three bulbs weren't adequate, even before one of the bulb surrounds broke on the light fitting in the living room area, and so we were down to two lights on one, and then the same thing recently happened to the light in the dining area. This made the room, even with lamps and display cabinet lighting, very dismal indeed. I thought I had better choose new lights quickly.
I looked online at various sites including B & Q, British Homes Stores, a couple of Mill shops, and then dear old Argos. After a good look I decided that I was most likely to get what I wanted from Argos. I shortlisted a few from there, and then finally decided that the Cisco five light ceiling fitting would best suit...

Basic Cisco Course
Advantages: More money @ work, More Knowledge

...I work in the Network Security Industry & work for a company called Equant (Who provide Global Network solutions & own the largest privately owned Network in the World), & was looking for a basic level Cisco course to achieve an acreditation.
The ICND course (Interconnecting Cisco Network Devices) is an ideal course to start. Although very Cisco orientated (as you could imagine), it doe sgive you a valuable basic knowledge of how the Cisco products interact with each other & other devices & networks (ie: Novell, which has recently dumped it's own IPX protocol, in favour of IP, this makes things easier as you can now deal with IP addressing & not just MAC addresses).
I went on an ICND course provided by a company called Getronics, based in Milton Keynes, I am now planning to take the Cisco CCNA exam, which is the first Certification...
