The Citroen Saxo.

Advantages: Quirky. Fun. French.
Disadvantages: Creaks and shakes. Slow. Unsafe.

This review, I'm afraid, comes four years too late, as the Saxo went out of production in the year 2000. It has since been replaced by a more 21st century, bubble-like car, the C3. There no question that the C3 is the nicer of the two, with its chic French curves, however at £9.000 it's not to everyone's liking. And so we come to the humble Saxo. Weighing in at 805kg the Saxo is very small, so obviously would not be suitable for big families, or indeed for people with big legs which invariably get crushed if they sit in the back seats. Review of Citroen Saxo 1.1

Semi-Pro XM2, excellence from Canon

Advantages: Lightweight, excellent picture quality, ease of use, hot-shoe for attachments
Disadvantages: Manual isn't so helpful. Not so good with low-light conditions.

...Myself and a few friends came up with a few ideas for short films and at the time we used my old Sony HC14E camera (before it was stolen in a burglary!). We called the HC14E our crash-cam as it certainly was put through the war-zones (paintball matches, in-car shots, drops and even ran over!). I decided I wanted something a bit more professional and decided to go for the Canon XM2. My first thought on this camera is it's size and weight. It's small enough to pack into a rucksack, and it is light enough to be used and carried for a whole day without straining the users arms or hands. Greatly Undervalued

Advantages: beautiful ride
Disadvantages: poor residual values, image problem

...This top-of-the-range Citroen is like nothing else and it retains typical Citroen virtues of superb ride quality and individuality. Self-levelling suspension means superb ride quality but if buying an XM, look out for leaking self-levelling spheres. Unfortunately the XM suffers from body roll and understeer. Also, a dodgy image means it loses value quickly, although for buyers this obviously means amazing second-hand value. The interior is a little disappointing but you do get leather seats, air conditioning and electric everything. Also, the electrics give frequent problems and servicing costs are astronomical. We ended up scrapping a perfectly good car because every year the servicing costs amounted to £££ hundreds and we were spending more than the value of the car. A real shame....

citroen zsara picasso space space space

Advantages: space and easy to drive
Disadvantages: personally haven't got one

...i brought a citroen xsara picasso just after my baby was born as my other car wasnt big enough to get anything else but the pushchair in the boot. i used to have a renault clio which i loved and i was worried about driving a bigger car but there was no need as a picasso is easier to drive and has loads of room in the front and back easy to put the seats down to create more room lots of drinks holders in front and back and i the doors so hopefully no sticky car food trays in the back for the kids easy to use controls and you can view loads of information about how many miles you can do to the petrol already in the tank your average speed how many miles left until a service is due a/c electric windows and mirrors definatley a family car and since purchasing this car i have realised how poular it is and a few of my friends have one too...
