citroen zsara picasso space space space

Advantages: space and easy to drive
Disadvantages: personally haven't got one

...i brought a citroen xsara picasso just after my baby was born as my other car wasnt big enough to get anything else but the pushchair in the boot. i used to have a renault clio which i loved and i was worried about driving a bigger car but there was no need as a picasso is easier to drive and has loads of room in the front and back easy to put the seats down to create more room lots of drinks holders in front and back and i the doors so hopefully no sticky car food trays in the back for the kids easy to use controls and you can view loads of information about how many miles you can do to the petrol already in the tank your average speed how many miles left until a service is due a/c electric windows and mirrors definatley a family car and since purchasing this car i have realised how poular it is and a few of my friends have one too...

Mt citroen Xsara Picasso

Advantages: Raise the drivers seat up, lots of storage space
Disadvantages: have problems cleaning the roof, or scraping the windscreen if you are short

...I use to own a citroen saxo, and was never going to have a big car, I thrn had a child and my decsion was changed for me, I needed the extra space that the xsara picasso offered. You have the four door bins and a suitable size glove box, as well as the boot space, as do most cars, but when you look in the boot, on the passenger side you will find extra storage hidden, in which I can hide my St john ambulace bomber jacket, and because the boot has no lip, I don't have to lift my childs buggy over, I can slide it in level with my hips. Then in the back on the floor behind both the drivers and passengers seat are another two storage compartments, in which I can keep my car emergencey kit, plus the three seats in the back are all spilt and individual, with their own over the shoulder seat belts, (no lap belts hooray!!) the middle...

Citreon Xsara Picasso 2.0 HDI SX

Advantages: Excellent family car, practical.
Disadvantages: Not very interesting drive

...I originally brought this car for myself after chanig my Audi A4..... what a mistake.....( bare with me i'm not really slagging the car off).. after finding out my wife was pregnant with our daughter i looked at something on the practical side, i didn't want an MPV as i think there a waste of time(yes you have seven seats but no boot space, takes the back seats out and your left with an oversized estate with two two seats stuck in your dining room!!!) any way i decided to take a look at the Picasso it was quite a decent looking car big enough for the kids nice high driving position plenty of room. So i went to my local Citreon dealer and saw the one i ended up buying. Citroen Xsara Picasso 2.0 HDI SX (2001)

Advantages: Seat flexibility & movement, nice high driving position, cheap tax
Disadvantages: Side visibility, driving in windy conditions, back seatbelts

...breaking (a very small component with a big price of £475) and this can only be fixed by a Citroen dealer. Would I recommend a Picasso? Yes, I would. We have now bought a Mercedes M Class with 7 seats but it is no where near as luxurious and practical as the Picasso and I really miss being able to turn up my volume on the steering wheel when the kids start playing up!...

Picasso Perfect.

Advantages: Like sitting in an armchair with the TV remote in your hand.
Disadvantages: Absolutely nothing.

...I am going to write this review as someone who does not understand the technicalities of a car but as someone who just wants to get in and drive (are you with me ladies?). My birthday present this year was a 51 reg Citroen Picasso SX HDI. After messing about with the figures, Reg Vardy (whose customer service was second to none by the way) managed to get the price down to £6200. With only 41,000 miles on the clock it was absolutely immaculate inside and out. A funky shaped car, this is very different to anything I had owned before. I was a bit nervous at first as it seemed quite big (well compared to the Corsa I had traded in for it it was). I'm sticking with my Picasso!

Advantages: Spacious, comfortable, nice drive
Disadvantages: None so far

...Now, my review doesn't go into the technical details coz I haven't got a clue! But this is the Citroen Picasso as I see and experience it... We have had our 53 plate Citroen Picasso 1.6 for a year now, and I love it!! The first thing that stands out in my eyes is the cool streamline shape. It's different to anything currently on the market, without looking silly. Before the Picasso I had a Ford KA...so I couldn't have gone from much smaller to much bigger! I was a little worried, coz the front and back seem really long, and I was worried about scraping other cars, walls, etc. But honestly, it's alot easier to judge parking than you think. Like with all cars, you park, then get out and see how much further you could've gone...after a few months of doing this, I can judge the downwards sloping bonnet and boot very well...

Citroen Picasso 1.6i Excellence Petrol

Advantages: A spacious comfortable very well equiped MPV
Disadvantages: A soft ride and seats not the best in the world

...This is the second Picasso I have had, so I must be keen on them! My first was a second hand (15 months old) 1.8 SX but this one is new and is the 1.6i Excellence model. Both models being petrol driven. I find the 1.6i feels smaller , nippier and seems to have more precise steering than the 1.8SX. There have been many reviews detailing the various great features of the Picasso so I will restrict my comments to the "toys" that the Excellence version has. Possibly the most useful thing is the climate control air conditioning. This enables you to select the internal temperature to within 0.5 of a degree. The fan has many progressive settings from gentle waft to cyclonic gale! Next toy is the cruise control. From the steering control one can select a given speed (in 4th and 5th gear). Once selected the car will carry on at this speed...

A Canvas for Picasso

Advantages: Space, comfort, cost and fun
Disadvantages: A wee bit thirsty in town; a couple of visibility problems

...Canvassing support for the Picasso from Citroen, is easy work. It is a distinctive car that speaks for itself. The number of reviews, and the positive nature of most of them, makes the point. But let me paint my own picture for you. ( Not a bit sorry for sick puns ! ) My Purchase = I was changing from a Fiat Punto, and unkind commentators may suggest anything would be an improvement.! However, I have had a number of Primeras, Bluebirds, Marinas and such like, so I know the big cars, as well as the small. This Picasso was 6 months old, so nearly new. It was around the £9000 mark, though I wanted alloys and paid for Citroen's own set, which was a few hundred extra. The car is in black, and is the 1.6 Desire edition. My Drive = Squeezing my oversize, 6' 2" frame into any car, tests its interior space...
