Odeon - Liverpool's Number One
Advantages: Good sized screens, great auditoriums, caters for everyone,
Disadvantages: Popcorn sometimes cardboardy, expensive chocolate treats,
...I am a huge cinema fan, and living in the centre of Birmingham for the last couple of years has meant putting up with Odeon Birmingham. Needless to say, I was very happy to discover the brand spanking new Odeon in Liverpool One,
Odeon Liverpool One
Odeon is actually the largest cinema chain in the UK, created by Oscar Deutsch in 1928. Some say that the name comes from Ancient Greek, others say that it comes from the motto Oscar Deutsch Entertains Our Nation.
There are currently... a lot of Odeon cinemas across the UK (I tried to count, but it's a lot!). The website has a cinema finder to help you locate your nearest. For this review I shall be talking about Odeon, Liverpool ONE.
When Liverpool ONE was redeveloped, the city centre Odeon branch was relocated here. The entrance can be found...

Classy Liverpool Marriott
Advantages: Central, clean, helpful staff, good facilities
Disadvantages: Price of food!
...Me and my girlfriend stayed in the Marriott for one night back in March 2007.
The reception area in the Marriott is very nice and extremely clean.
When checking in the receptionist was very friendly, offering us extra services and any help/advice we needed for our stay.
The conceirge was also very polite, helping us in the lift and offering us help with our bags.
The actual room was great, a lovely view looking onto some of Liverpool's historic buildings and the bed was very comfortable. The room was extremely clean and the bathroom was also very nice.
We had a meal in the hotel and although the service was second to none, and the meal was beautiful, the pricing was extremely high. We would not eat in the hotel if we stayed again as there are many lovely restaurants close by the hotel offering much greater value. The meal...

Delta Hotel 42 The Damrak Amsterdam City Centre
Advantages: Superb Central Location
Disadvantages: Strict on Room Checkout Times
...street, it is an excellent location to relax over a good breakfast whilst watching the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam. If you just fancy a snack, a few doors down from the hotel is 'Pizza M Slice' serving the best (yep you've guessed it) pizza in the city. A must try.
If you are travelling to Amsterdam by car (not recommended) the hotel has arranged a 15% discount off parking fees at a car park a few minutes away. Parking is very expensive in the city, and as the public transport is excellent and the majority of attractions are close by, a car really is not needed.
For those of a sporty nature there is a modern fitness centre 20 meters from the hotel, where, in cooperation with the fitness centre, there is a discount for guests.
All in all, the Hotel Delta is an ideal choice for the budget-minded traveler, very reasonable rates...

Liverpool Lovelies Trilogy ... Part 2
Advantages: Loads of room to park our bottoms, jacuzzi, freebies and a huge bed!
Disadvantages: Having to knock on the door like an old strumpet at 5am, paying for parking my car, cheek!!
...of us slept very well if at all. Jo your bed is a nightmare girl, how she sleeps in it is beyond me it was like sleeping on a concrete block, Jules ended up with a bad back and I had an aching face from laughing at her most of the night. It was decided there and then to check into a hotel for the following night.
Ringing round that morning though was proving difficult, it was Liverpool's last game of the season and all the hotels were fully booked, good from the point of view that the city center would be full of men, bad because we needed to sleep ... eventually.
We finally found a hotel with one room only for the night, The Holiday Inn Liverpool City Center. It was close to everything, in fact right on the doorstep of the clubs and bars, handy for late night stumbling, but one problem, the only room available was The Presidential...

* A Great City Centre Hotel *
Advantages: Location , rooms ,
Disadvantages: expensive , weird food
...I have just realised that I stay in a lot of hotels over the year as I tend to visit Glasgow and London alot, so the cost soon add's up!
Anyway on my last trip to Glasgow I thought i'd try a different hotel for a change as I go back to the same one ( as i know it's good)
The Park in caught my eye because behind the reseption desk there is a water fall that changes colour , everytime I walked past this hotel I wanted to stay there!!
~*Location*~
it's 30 seconds from Glasgow bus station , not kidding you can see it from your window !! Very Central
~*The room*~
The room was lovely.
The Ensuite had a cool jet shower.one thing is part of the bathroom wall was made of glass blocks which I found a bit strange as it was looknig into the room and you can see right in!
~* Extra Informatioin*~
This hotel is a 4 start hotel and it...

The hotel has 145 executive bedrooms fully designed and are perfect for a great relaxing break/
What the hotel has to offer:
? Wedding Services

The Wedding service is fantastic ? the hotel has their own highly experienced team of co-ordinators who will set up your wedding reception to your personal needs. City Centre Madrid Hotel On a Shoestring
Advantages: Very close to city centre and transport, Cheap.
Disadvantages: Can be noisy
...Me and my girlfriend decided to visit Madrid last summer. So being the students that we are we booked cheap flights on easyjet. That was the easy bit. The hard part came later when we had to decide on a hotel to stay in. We wanted somewhere close to the city centre as we were only there for a few days but we had to do it on a budget but wanted to go slightly better than a hostel, it was after all our first holiday abroad together.
::: Why The Asturias?? :::
We eventually settled on the Hotel Asturias because it fitted what we wanted. It is extremely close to the city centre which is what we wanted as we were only there for 3 nights. It is only minutes away from the Calle Gran Via, one of the main shopping streets in Madrid. It is also minutes away from two metro stations (in opposite directions, either Sol or Sevilla which will...

Apex City of London Hotel - outstanding
Advantages: Lovely staff, beautiful rooms, modern hotel
Disadvantages: Slightly out of the way of the West End
...We wanted to stay somewhere in central London that was value for money, and found this brilliant hotel for only £69 per night. We booked directly with the hotel itself, and while the system can be a little frustrating the transaction went through smoothly. This was in December 2008, so we didn't expect any decent hotels so close to Christmas to be so cheap. While this hotel is a little out of the way of main attractions it is close to the Tower of London, and to Tower Bridge and easily accessible by bus and tube. On arriving by tube, we found the hotel was alittle bit tricky to find, and were saved only by the fact that by boyfriend's phone has sat-nav!
On arriving we were greeted by friendly and efficeint staff. The entrance to the hotel was modern and swish, befitting a four star hotel with marble and stainless tell everywhere...

A Hotel in that Toddlin' Town, Chicago
Advantages: Fast, friendly, efficient service. Comfortable and spacious bedrooms
Disadvantages: Extra charges for wi-fi and parking.
...~~A little background~~
Chicago was the starting point for our recent road trip touring Northern America. The road trip mapped out, our next step was selecting the hotels.
For Chicago, our choice was the Chicago City Centre Hotel & Sports Club. Why?
The hotel is close to many of Chicago's attractions - close enough to walk to many with trolley stops nearby to those further away. But as our preference is for quiet - not on the busy Michigan Avenue!
The hotel has parking facilities - essential as we were hiring a car.
And last but not least we wanted a hotel at the beginning of the holiday that was a little bit special - most of the others on the trip mainly travel motels just somewhere to rest our heads. The Chicago City Centre Hotel & Sports Club is classified as three stars but has more of a four star look and feel...

The hotel that takes up a whole block
Advantages: Very professional, clean and comfy
Disadvantages: Expensive
...was there when we went to bed late on the Saturday, and first thing on the Sunday he was there again, answering what must be the same old questions. I hope he gets paid well!
There are a few entrances to the hotel. It is well located quite centrally at 123 Queen St West, and within about 10 minutes' walk to the CN Tower, or the Eaton Shopping Centre. There is a big taxi rank outside, and transport to the airport is likely to cost you the same whichever way you get it if you are in a small family, so we got someone in the hotel to organise a taxi for us, which was an executive limo (not stretch, though!) and a very comfy ride indeed. The airport shuttle bus is around $29 Canadian dollars per person for a return trip, but with the three of us, we got the cab, knowing it was going to work out cheaper.
There is another Sheraton...
