Premier Inn, Charing Cross Glasgow
Advantages: Close to town and all amenities
Disadvantages: none
...I have never stayed in the Premier Inn before, but I felt I had to share my experience of the past weekend.
The staff in both reception and the restaurant were fantastic, they were really helpful and made you feel right at home.
The room and bathroom were both spotless, warm and the freeview television meant that my daughter didn't miss her soaps while she was away. The bed was both big and comfortable and we didn't have any trouble getting to sleep.
We opted for the breakfast deal and we were not disappointed, the food was well cooked and warm there was also plenty of choice.
Access to the hotel was excellent for both able bodied and non-able bodied people, we didn't have a wheelchair but we did have a six month old baby and a pram, and even though it is situated next to Charing Cross rail station we didn't hear a thing from...

Come on Inn the hotels lovely...
Advantages: Amazing food, friendly and professional staff, lovely rooms
Disadvantages: £20 cab ride away from airport, sound proofing not as good as it could be
...Location
***********
The City Inn, Glasgow is located at Finnieston Quay, Glasgow, G3 8HN. For anyone unfamiliar with Glasgow this is an area that has been redeveloped in recent years, and is home to the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre. The area has the feel of somewhere on the up, with big businesses (like SMG) and developments all over, although its not totally there yet, and I'd compare it to the London Docklands 5-10 years ago before all the shops and businesses had moved in.
I now work quite a bit out of our Glasgow office, and so will be staying in Glasgow on a regular basis. The main body of this review covers the first time I stayed there, during mid January 06, with a slight amendment based on my stay last night (7th February)
When I first was told I had to go to Glasgow I discussed the accommodation options...

Budget accomodation gem
Advantages: Location, Price, parking
Disadvantages: Breakfast
...The premier travelinn at charing cross Glasgow is perfect for the city break on a budget or for a conveniently positioned based when on business in the city.
This is a large 12 storey hotel with a restaurant and bar on the first floor. All room are on suite and the price is per room not per person so if you are a family you get extra value from the family rooms at no extra cost. All rooms have remote control T.V. with selected digital channels (No satelite), tea and coffee making facilities and comfortable beds with additional bedding if required.
Breakfast isn't included in the price and to be honest it isn't worth it anyway. As the hotels main negative the breakfast is luke warm and tasteless; got out for breakfast there are no shortages of local cafes and diners in close proximity.
Location is the key selling point for this...

The Mussel inn
Advantages: Good quality mussels, good lunchtime deal
Disadvantages: Expensive if paying for a full price evening meal.
...The Mussel Inn is a seafood restaurant specialising in mussels, oysters and scallops. The Glasgow restaurant is at 157 Hope Street in the city centre and the Edinburgh one is at 61 Rose Street. I have only been to the Glasgow restaurant and so will primarily be reviewing that location.
First of all for anyone with environmental concerns the seafish is all from renewable sources from the lochs and sea lochs of Scotland's west (atlantic) coast.
The reason that I discovered the Mussel Inn was that my mum was lured in by their lunchtime deal and then brought me along another time to experience it. The deal is on mondays to fridays from opening to 5pm and consists of a large bowl of mussels in a choice of sauces (I recommend the cream, shallots and white wine which is the best for mussels!) with salad or chips, as much bread as you want...

City Inn - a hidden gem.
Advantages: Price, features of room, location
Disadvantages: err... food is a bit bland and pricey
...I think I spend far too much time in hotels, and can be quite demanding. That said, it is with pleasure I report that the City Inn in Birmingham is a hidden gem.
Location
The hotel is located in the trendy Brindley Place development just off Broad Street in Birmingham, and as such is ideally situated for pubbing, clubbing and general merriment and yet being secluded (for a city) enough for a bit of peace and quiet. Brindley Place itself is home to a variety of trendy bars and restaurants including the (in)famous Bank and various luxury apartments. It's a mainly pedestrianised area, and is easily accessible by foot bus or train from New Street station. The majority of other hotels in the area are located directly on Broad Street, which can be quite noisy with the drunken hordes clamouring around after about 10pm. Mind you don't get...

THE EXPRESS HOLIDAY INN GLASGOW AIRPORT !
Advantages: location, clean and comfortable, great value for money ,plenty of facilitys.friendly staff
Disadvantages: none
...Holiday Inn Express at Glasgow Airport.
Me and my girlfriend booked this hotel 3 weeks before hand and got a great rate of £55 for one night including full breakfast. We got the free airport bus from buchan bus station which takes to outside the main terminal at the airport .When we arrived we were amazed at how close it was actually to the main terminal of Glasgow Airport less than 2 minutes which was very handy for our morning departure. We checked in around 1630 and were told in detail the facility's , restaurant opening times , breakfast times and all check out details by two friendly staff receptionists one lady also helped us with the masses of luggage we had to the room.
We were surprised with the quality of the hotel with it just being a budget hotel the entrance to the hotel resembles the same look in decor as any 4 or 5 star...

TULIP INN HOTEL, GLASGOW - SUPERB
Advantages: Close to the heart of Glasgow
Disadvantages: None that I could see
...Hi there, I hope this review is of use to you. Please do leave a rating at the end of the review and any feedback you may have.
I stayed in this hotel for a weekend and thought I would share my views -
**********LOCATION*********
This hotel is in a great location. It only took us about 5 minutes to walk to the main shopping area and about 10 minute walk from Glasgow Central Railway station. The transfer from the aiport only took us 10 mins and cost us £6.29 return with Citylink Buses.
**********COST***********
We thought it was brilliant value for money at only £60 per room per night.
***********ROOMS***********
This hotel is a newly built modern property. Our room was lovely and spacious with a fantastic power shower, modem points, free wifi, satellite tv, iron and ironing board and tea/coffee making facilities. The bed...

A Review of the Holiday Inn Express Glasgow

Holiday Inn Express (Glasgow) - Right in the Heart of the City
Visitors to Glasgow will find this the perfect base from which to see the sights. It is next to the Buchanan Galleries shopping centre and virtually next door to the huge 7 floor UGC cinema. (This gets very busy in the evenings, so I would advise placing a booking earlier in the day.) The Burrell Collection is within walking distance. It's especially handy for a short city break when you don't have much time to travel from the hotel into the city centre. There is, however, less easy access to new visitor attractions such as...

* A Great City Centre Hotel *
Advantages: Location , rooms ,
Disadvantages: expensive , weird food
...I have just realised that I stay in a lot of hotels over the year as I tend to visit Glasgow and London alot, so the cost soon add's up!
Anyway on my last trip to Glasgow I thought i'd try a different hotel for a change as I go back to the same one ( as i know it's good)
The Park in caught my eye because behind the reseption desk there is a water fall that changes colour , everytime I walked past this hotel I wanted to stay there!!
~*Location*~
it's 30 seconds from Glasgow bus station , not kidding you can see it from your window !! Very Central
~*The room*~
The room was lovely.
The Ensuite had a cool jet shower.one thing is part of the bathroom wall was made of glass blocks which I found a bit strange as it was looknig into the room and you can see right in!
~* Extra Informatioin*~
This hotel is a 4 start hotel and it...

Kraking location - Holiday Inn City Centre, Krakow
Advantages: Great location as a base to visit this city, well recommended
Disadvantages: Not the cheapest but you get what you pay for
...Krakow's airport (Pope John Paul II Airport) which is served from the UK by easyJet and British Airways.
The airport is about 11k from the city and there is a nearby train station from which you can travel cheaply in a journey taking about 15 minutes. I made the mistake of walking from Krakow station to my accommodation (it did not look very far on the map!) and I regretted hauling luggage over cobbled streets. You can get trams or taxis from the railway station readily all over the city.
Krakow is on the banks of the Vistula River and the old part of town is a horseshoe shape with the open end of the horseshoe at the bottom on the river banks (the horseshoe, in fact, is where the old city walls used to be - more about this later).
The Holiday Inn is just outside this horseshoe, only a short distance from the most historic sights...
