Sex on the telly, the city, the street

Advantages: Funny and well written
Disadvantages: men bashing, girl power

...Sex and the city overflows with oestrogen with a hint of testosterone thrown in to satisfy the male viewers ego. It is screened on Channel 4, Wednesdays at 10pm. Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) is a newspaper columnist, and is the main character in the show. She is a sassy, confident, sexy woman who is as neurotic as a teletubby on cocaine (well sometimes, not all the time). Her sidekicks are Charlotte (Kristen Davies) a museum curator, is the kind of naive one of them all, Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) a lawyer, and Samantha (Kim Cattrell) a PR agent, is the sex kitten and loves having sex whenever she can (I think this is called Nymphomania, unless you're a man, then it is called mmmm being a man). Green Street [Hooligans]

Disadvantages: Elijah Wood, Bad Cockney Accents, Ridiculously Unrealist

...Hot on the heels of The Football Factory  comes another attempt at understanding the British thug sub-culture. This time (in an obvious attempt to increase American awareness) Elijah Wood is cast at the centre of it all, playing a Harvard journalism student turned hard-edged football hooligan. Sound ridiculous? It pretty much is. Green Street is not a hugely terrible film, but it is difficult one to take seriously. Matt Buckman (Wood) is wrongfully expelled from College, and jumps abroad a plane to London to visit his sister (Claire Forlani) and husband Steve (Marc Warren). ...I read so many exciting reviews on Sex and the City that I decided I watch it. It is a real chick flick romantic comedy and that evening it was the perfect entertainment for me.   Mean Streets

Advantages: Superb Brazilian film depicting life for the children of The City Of God.
Disadvantages: It'll get ignored at the Oscars because there's subtitles and you have to think.

Street Life

Advantages: Good quality of tracks
Disadvantages: only 10 songs

...and rewind is one of my favourite songs. Again dealing with loss after a one night stand, however done with a fair bit of humour, I love the line 'I'm not sleeping at night, but I'm going from bar to bar' 4. Million Faces Probably based on personal experiences this is a 'filler' song about the changes the singer has experienced since he became famous and moved away from home. Decent song but not a hit. 5. These Streets Title song to the album and a more up beat and fast paced version of the song above. Comparing his new London life to what he was used to in a quiet Scottish village. This was another of my favourites and one I think could make it as a single. 6.
