I am a Sensation or at least my hair colour is.

Advantages: Very cheap, good grey coverage and colour, easy to use.
Disadvantages: No conditioner

However, the colour was a bit wishy washy and I wanted to enhance it and make it a bit more ?brilliant?. So I was pleased when I came across the colour ?Brilliant Dark Blonde? in the Herbal Essences range. It looked like a nice soft, dark ash blonde. I did notice however that the model on the box did seem to have a few light blonde highlights in her hair which kinds of defeats the purpose of modelling a colour! ...A couple of years ago I ditched the blonde and went back to my natural hair colour. The only problem is, that no matter how long I leave it or keep cutting it, the ends remain blonde, almost as if my natural hair is starting to grow blonde about half way down my neck. I've dyed it many times to make it go back to being dark brown but the ends remain stubbornly blonde looking. Anyway, after leaving it almost a whole year now since my last attempt, I thought I would try again. ...Five minutes ago I was in the bathroom applying a Garnier Nutrisse hair dye to my hair with a strong but luckily not too toxic smell and a silky consistency. I had high hopes for this hair dye as I have heard a lot of good things about it so I will see if it lives up to my expectations! I am sat here writing this review with the Garnier Nutrisse hair colour on my hair, so I will give feedback on the results after the recommended 25 minutes. (I would usually leave hair dye on for 5 minutes longer that the recommended time but as my hair has been dyed many times before it takes to the colour better. This applies to most people with dyed hair so try to leave it on for the minimum to keep your hair in better condition. For example, if the dye says 20-30 minutes, leave it on for 20). ...I have very sensitive skin and to find a hair colour, which not only gives me a very natural look, does not bring me out in spots is fantastic. I have been dying my hair now for about 5 or 6 years and I have tried a few in my time. Clairol Nice 'n Easy is just as the title sugests, nice and easy to use. There are 2 bottles, which you mix into one of the bottles, then apply. Simple or what!? 20 minutes is all it takes and the conditioner provided really does work. There is no mess, as Clairol have brought out a non-drip formula. I am left with natural, soft hair which does not smell of ammonia. I use colour number 106, which gives me a very natural dark blonde colour. The formula does not stain my exposed skin and there is no rash or itchyness. I would have to recommend this product to anyone wanting to try a different brand of hair...
