Clairol herbal essences
Advantages: smells gorgeous for days
Disadvantages: Can be a bit pricy in some stores
...Clairol Herbal Essences
I was shopping in Safeway the other day and I needed to buy some more shampoo. I have previously used different brands and I wanted to buy the dove shampoo, but they didn?t have any left. So I started looking for another brand.
I noticed Clairol herbal essences because of the bottle. It comes in a 250ml bottle with clear packaging and has a lovely picture of a bunch of roses on the back, which you can see through the pink, coloured content. Clairol use 25% post consumer recycled plastic for their bottles and they?re also recyclable so it helps save the environment too. It costs £2.19 but when I looked closer, it was on a ?buy one get one free? offer so I got the conditioner to go with it as well. What a bargain!!!!!!
You can buy different bottles for different hair types for example, greasy...

Herbal Essences is a great brand at a great price!
Advantages: Smells lovely, does what it says
Disadvantages: Can't think of any
...I've been using Herbal Essences for a while, and I will be continuing to use this brand of shampoo and conditioner, mainly because it does what it's says it will, and the smells are divine. Currently, Herbal Essences are promoting their new, refurbished design, and I have to say I was delighted when I found out you could get a free, re-designed bottle of Herbal Essences along side the original! My opinion of the new design is that it looks sophisticated, professional, and is perfect for first time users - but if you're like me and have been using Herbal Essences with the familiarly known branding for quite a few years, it will take a lot of time getting used to!
Clairol created Herbal Essences in the 1960s, aiming to appeal at people particularly interested in organic buys, especially since the hippy craze started around that time...

.Clairol Herbal Essences Replenisher Shampoo
Advantages: It's organic
Disadvantages: none
...Clairol Herbal Essences Replenisher Shampoo
My mum and sister brought this shampoo because they both like dying their hair and my sister?s hair is permed. I just used it because it was the only shampoo I could find, but my hair is a little dry, so any way I tried the shampoo and it was jus like any other shampoo except it did make my hair a little less dry than usual.
Any way here are all the good points and things I can think of about it.
. The smell is all right, it smells of roses and the smell is long lasting.
. It makes your hair look healthy and gives it body.
. It's organic.
. After using it your hair feels silky smooth and it shines.
. This shampoo comes in a 400ml bottle, and from the ones I have seen the liquid is usually pink.
. They're priced averagely about £2.19.
. It is soft, not sticky and you...

True Herbal Essence smelling dye-weird!
Advantages: Doesn't smell chemically, leaves hair soft
Disadvantages: Doesn't take to red hair very well
...the packaging, and this brand is far more exciting to look at on the shelves than the others. It has purple sparkle, the expected picture of the model loving her new colour, list of its advantages and ingredients, nothing out of ordinary, it simply looks nicer than all the other boxes.
In the box you get the dye, bottle of mix which the dye is mixed with, a 6 week treatment conditioner and 'posh' feeling gloves.
These feel much better standard than most given in the home dye kits. There is also an instruction page which suggests testing for allergic reactions and the strand test. I would advise doing the strand test as this will determine how long the dye stays on for. Herbal essence recommend 20 mins at least, but it can go up to 40 mins if you wish, the strand test gives indication of how long your hair will need. Mine is about 35 mins...

CLAIROL VERSES HERBAL ESSENCES SHAMPOO
Advantages: Great to use
Disadvantages: Not so nice smell
...Recently I wrote the FIRST EVER opinion on the new shampoo and conditioner range from Herbal Essences, I said they were the best set that I've ever used together and worked brilliantly on my hair and lasted and also smelt lovely. I also mentioned that they also great value. That's where I was wrong though, all the info I wrote on the products I thought was pretty outstanding but they've been beaten! (YOU MAY WANT TO GO TO MY ACCOUNT AND READ MY 2 PREVIOUS OPS ON MY LAST SET BEFORE HAND)
I've only just started using a variety of different shampoos and conditioners, I never use 2 in 1's so maybe that will be the next opinion on my list! I noticed that the Clairol Daily Defense range was on offer in my local NEW sainsburys store (See other opinion!) If you bought the biggest bottle of the shampoo you recieved the biggest bottle...

An Essence of Brilliance!
Advantages: Gorgeous scent, will last you a while, leaves hair soft and shiny
Disadvantages: None
...Despite the fact my bathroom windowsill is full to bursting with various bottles of shampoos (all used a tiny bit and then replaced with the newest one!) I couldn't resist buying another 3 bottles whilst browsing in Superdrug the other day. They were on such a good offer I couldn't resist, and I knew if I didn't like them, my fiance would use them as he isn't fussy about what shampoo he uses! One of the bottles I picked up was Herbal Essences Silk n Shine shampoo in a pretty pink bottle, so based on that fact I decided to try this one first.
Herbal Essences are a brand of shampoos produced by the haircare company Clairol. They have an extensive product catalogue made up of various shampoos and conditioners for different hair types. You probably know the company from the infamous TV adverts of the woman shouting "yes, yes, YES!" in...

Bye Bye Dry Hair, Hello Herbal Essences
Advantages: Works wonders on dry and damaged hair
Disadvantages: Nothing!
...Initially I was drawn to the Clairol Herbal Essences range of hair conditioners through their seductive adverts preceding Desperate Housewives. Normally advertisements have little effect on my purchasing decisions. In fact, I usually press the mute button in defiance when adverts blatantly interrupt my TV programme.
However, something about these adverts, with those women erupting into ecstatic convulsions while using Clairol Herbal Essences, had a positive influence over me.
I was further persuaded by the Clairol name. I thought Clairol might be a wise choice because I use the Clairol hair colours and have done for years. Included in the box along with the colouring lotion is a little tube of Clairol conditioner. This conditioner works better than anything else I've ever tried, so much so that one day, over 10 years ago, I...

Clairol Herbal Essences
Advantages: Smells Georgeous
Disadvantages: hair needs washing too often
...When I first saw the advert on tv - the one when the woman is in the shower and appears to be having a very good time! with her bottle of shampoo - Clairol Herbal Essences I thought I have got to try this?
On my next shopping trip I purchased a bottle of herbal Essences for Normal to Oily Hair and the smell was beautiful like a summer day in the garden and it lathers great a small amount go's a long way.
My hair is fairly normal but after about four to five days if I have not washed it it looks greecy, and because it it quite long I do not like to wash it too often because it means another night in washing and waiting for my hair to dry.
The only problem with Herbal Essences is that I get the greecy look about 36 hours after washing it, this means too many nights in washing my hair.
If your hair is short or does not take to...

Herbal Essences Citrus Lift
Advantages: Adds a bit of volume, lasting gorgeous smell
Disadvantages: None
...I saw the advert for Herbal Essences Fruit Fusion new citrus lift on the telly which claims to give you lots of volume, and as I love citrusy smells and had felt my hair was looking a bit flat I thought I would try it.
I have medium length (just below shoulders) straight normal hair.
I bought it in Boots - they only had the larger 400ml bottles for £2.99. It was easy to spot amongst the Herbal Essences range as is a bright orange bottle. It is in the same style as their other products with the Herbal essences logo but with some oranges in the middle. It states the fruit extracts - tangerine, lemongrass and aloe vera, that it gives uplifting volume and is for fine to normal hair.
On the back it claims "Delight yourself in a juicy, energising experience. Fruity and luxurious, this nourishing conditioner, blended with fruit...

New Herbal Essences Range - bring back the old!
Advantages: bigger bottle, same price
Disadvantages: Far lower quality product and nothing like the brilliant salon quality before
...I have been a huge fan of herbal essences Rainforest flowers range for a number of years and used it religously. As I am blessed with Greasy hair that needs a wash every day and have long hair, I was probably one of their best customers.
I say was. I too stocked up on the new range with the new giveaways when they brought them out. Confusing to say the least. I was using the Red bottled Dry/damaged shampoo and conditioner which came with the free "hello hydration" bottles, but reading the back of the old shampoo it said "your new shampoo will be called frizz fighter" so that was confusing to start off with.
Over the years of using the old Herbal Essences range I've had compliments from both my hairdresser and friends on how brilliantly glossy and conditioned my hair is, despite having soft highlights in it for a number...
