True Herbal Essence smelling dye-weird!

Advantages: Doesn't smell chemically, leaves hair soft
Disadvantages: Doesn't take to red hair very well

...the packaging, and this brand is far more exciting to look at on the shelves than the others. It has purple sparkle, the expected picture of the model loving her new colour, list of its advantages and ingredients, nothing out of ordinary, it simply looks nicer than all the other boxes. In the box you get the dye, bottle of mix which the dye is mixed with, a 6 week treatment conditioner and 'posh' feeling gloves. These feel much better standard than most given in the home dye kits. There is also an instruction page which suggests testing for allergic reactions and the strand test. I would advise doing the strand test as this will determine how long the dye stays on for. Herbal essence recommend 20 mins at least, but it can go up to 40 mins if you wish, the strand test gives indication of how long your hair will need. Mine is about 35 mins...

Recommended Hair Colourant

Advantages: Nice smell, glossy hair & nice resulting colour
Disadvantages: Fading a little bit after only 4 weeks

...A couple of years ago I ditched the blonde and went back to my natural hair colour. The only problem is, that no matter how long I leave it or keep cutting it, the ends remain blonde, almost as if my natural hair is starting to grow blonde about half way down my neck. I've dyed it many times to make it go back to being dark brown but the ends remain stubbornly blonde looking. Anyway, after leaving it almost a whole year now since my last attempt, I thought I would try again. This time I picked out a shade from the Herbal Essenses Fearless Colour range (i.e. Chocolate Velvet). I didn't even know they did hair colour at the time and I selected it simply because I love their shampoos and conditioners. Anyway, the process was simple enough, just put on the colour leave for 25 - 40 minutes and rinse off. This is then followed up by...

Anyone for mud coloured hair

Advantages: No horrible smell. Easy to use
Disadvantages: Resulting colour not as expected

...As a queen of hair dye and many years of shoving chemicals on my head every 4-6wks, I decided to go back to my natural colour which now turned out to be a very nice medium to dark ash blonde. However, the colour was a bit wishy washy and I wanted to enhance it and make it a bit more ?brilliant?. So I was pleased when I came across the colour ?Brilliant Dark Blonde? in the Herbal Essences range. It looked like a nice soft, dark ash blonde. I did notice however that the model on the box did seem to have a few light blonde highlights in her hair which kinds of defeats the purpose of modelling a colour! This brand also appealed to me because of the more natural ingredients and no ammonia, which doesn?t give you that awful smell and stinks the whole house out. It also comes nicely packaged in a sort of squashed round box to give it...

Clairol herbal essences

Advantages: smells gorgeous for days
Disadvantages: Can be a bit pricy in some stores

...Clairol Herbal Essences I was shopping in Safeway the other day and I needed to buy some more shampoo. I have previously used different brands and I wanted to buy the dove shampoo, but they didn?t have any left. So I started looking for another brand. I noticed Clairol herbal essences because of the bottle. It comes in a 250ml bottle with clear packaging and has a lovely picture of a bunch of roses on the back, which you can see through the pink, coloured content. Clairol use 25% post consumer recycled plastic for their bottles and they?re also recyclable so it helps save the environment too. It costs £2.19 but when I looked closer, it was on a ?buy one get one free? offer so I got the conditioner to go with it as well. What a bargain!!!!!! You can buy different bottles for different hair types for example, greasy...

Review of Clairol Herbal Essences Replenisher Shampoo

Herbal Essences is a great brand at a great price!

Advantages: Smells lovely, does what it says
Disadvantages: Can't think of any

..., and people became more aware of what they were using, and making sure it was natural and organic. But, because of its success, an increasing population of non-organic buyers started using these products. Whether or not these shampoo and conditioners are completely organic anymore, I don't know, but what I can tell you is I certainly feel the product is natural and inartificial and is worth buying. They come in different categories of essences, such as herbs and botanicals, rainforest flowers and fruit fusions, and also are grouped depending on what purpose it supplies for your hair, to restore it to its full potential. The different hair types are dry/damaged, normal to oily, coloured and herbal essence manages to provide shampoos and conditioner in order to aid you when washing your hair, and making it look the best it possibly can. You can...

Bye Bye Dry Hair, Hello Herbal Essences

Advantages: Works wonders on dry and damaged hair
Disadvantages: Nothing!

...Initially I was drawn to the Clairol Herbal Essences range of hair conditioners through their seductive adverts preceding Desperate Housewives. Normally advertisements have little effect on my purchasing decisions. In fact, I usually press the mute button in defiance when adverts blatantly interrupt my TV programme. However, something about these adverts, with those women erupting into ecstatic convulsions while using Clairol Herbal Essences, had a positive influence over me. I was further persuaded by the Clairol name. I thought Clairol might be a wise choice because I use the Clairol hair colours and have done for years. Included in the box along with the colouring lotion is a little tube of Clairol conditioner. This conditioner works better than anything else I've ever tried, so much so that one day, over 10 years ago, I...

Diamond review  Unmentionable Greys

Advantages: Yummy-Looking Red Hair
Disadvantages: 5 Minute Rinse Process

...by the time we got there, so, the car it was. While browsing the Health and Beauty aisle of Morrisons, I came upon the hair colour section. As I was in the market for a new colour, then I decided on RED again. I Love it when my hair is red, it just makes me feel warmer inside, and it makes me feel happy. I spotted on the bottom shelf, in among the array of boxes professing to be the best colour a well-known brand of hair care product, Clairol. The Product = Clairol Herbal Essences Fearless Colour Permanent Hair Colour. The Shade 44 Deep Red Radiant Ruby It is ammonia-free too, which is good, it doesn't sting or smell bad. On the box, there is a label which says "RUB HERE to release the refreshing fragrance", which I automatically did. It smelled really nice, which is a bonus, because hair colour usually...

Colour me Happy!

Advantages: Cleans hair making it fresh
Disadvantages: Not a great smell

...Herbal Essences - Clairol Colour Me Happy, Shine Enhancing Shampoo for Coloured Hair **WHAT IT DOES** Herbal Essences is a hair care range. This particular product is a shampoo, which has been specifically designed for coloured hair. It is supposed to replenish your hair making it more manageable. It has conditioners in it to protect your hair leaving it radiant and healthy. So in short it is supposed to get your hair clean and condition it at the same time. **PACKAGING** I have to say when Herbal Essences changed their packaging I didn't realise it was there product as it was a radical change. At the start I thought it made the product seem cheaper. Since then I have changed my mind. The bottle is funky with a fluorescent green lid and trendy pink in colour. The writing on the bottle is in white, which is clear to read...

He fiddles with my soft hair

Advantages: Does what it says
Disadvantages: none found

...Clairol Herbal Essences Dry & Damaged Shampoo range Clairol's was first established 1931 by a chemist and his wife. The name of the company was taken a hair-coloring preparation the couple found while traveling in Europe. By 1950, Clairol became a household name and now an international product with a vast range of hair product, made even more famous by the catchphrase, "Does she?or doesn't she? Only her hairdresser knows for sure." As I have mentioned in another review about a conditioner I have highlights in my hair and am now being classed as 'middle aged' I have noticed my hair needs a very good shampoo & conditioner to keep the smooth, silky feeling and shine to it. So when I noticed this range of Herbal Essences shampoo in my local supermarket I decided to give it a go. I brought it with the dry / damaged conditioner...

HAIR WARS - THE PHANTOM BADGER

Advantages: Smells lovely
Disadvantages: Where do I start? Leaves hair dull, limp and feeling like straw

...Good morning Ciao?ers. The Badger is officially a lovely blushing red and yes, he?s posting three opinions in one week. Try to control yourselves! Today I?ll be reviewing Clairol Herbal Essences Conditioner, when I say reviewing, I actually mean slating it!! The conditioner was bought over 12 months ago and has sat in my bathroom since then. The reason it was dropped into my basket was due to the special offer it was on with the shampoo of the same name for £2.49 for the two which I considered a bargin. The Herbal Essences range is available from all supermarkets and surprisingly can be found with all the other haircare products. The conditioner comes in a cream bottle with a green lid and contains 250ml of the said product so it is actually smaller than most other conditioners in the same target grouping. The packaging...
