A Whiff of Clarins!

...I love Clarins products and have finally started to get round to reviewing some of the many products in their range that I have used. The first is the Clarins Eau Ressourcante Moisturising Body Lotion. The lotion comes from their ?blue? fragrance range which is Eau Ressourcante. The lotion is designed to hydrate, refresh and soften skin. It contains essential oils and also plant extracts including Sarsaparilla and Hibiscus which relax and moisturise, Robinia which soothes and softens and Longan which stimulates. It comes in a semi-opaque white plastic bottle with turquoise writing on the bottle. It has a screw top cap with a covered top which has a small opening. The small opening is good as you can just squeeze a small amount of the lotion out rather than pour too much out at one time. The bottle holds 250ml and costs £24...

...I started using this cream because I had bought beauty flash balm and I wanted to see if Clarins did any other products that would work as well on my skin. I wanted a cream which would moisturize but not feel greasy at the same time and that would work as a good base for my make up too. I normally use face creams with SPF as I feel like I?m doing something good with my skin, and plus it helps protect it too, so that was a main specification for why I chose this cream, this one has SPF 15 and I think that it is the only face cream Clarins does with SPF in it. ...Knowing that I was planning on writing my review for this product today I thought I would use this again last night just to make sure I was sure what I wanted to write about it. I bought this from a local independent shop that sells high quality products from ranges like Clarins, Gatineau, Lancome etc at a fraction of the usual price. Usually this scrub costs about £19 for 200ml which is very expensive. I think I paid about £5-£7 for my tube but it is only 75ml in size. The tube which comes in the classic white and red Clarins packaging is a good size and the product is easy to dispense. The cream is quite thick and has a pleasant smell when dispensed, it is a peachy colour. I find the best way to apply it is to squeeze a small amount onto my hand and then apply using a circular motion. It is quite grainy and does give a good level...
