Inside the box there is a clear plastic bottle with a flip top lid, underneath of which is a small hole from 'whence' the cream comes!! A Whiff of Clarins!

Advantages: Some might like the clarins smell, the smell lasts (can be good or bad), softens skin
Disadvantages: Not great for really dry skin, smell can be overpowering, expensive

...I love Clarins products and have finally started to get round to reviewing some of the many products in their range that I have used. The first is the Clarins Eau Ressourcante Moisturising Body Lotion. The lotion comes from their ?blue? fragrance range which is Eau Ressourcante. The lotion is designed to hydrate, refresh and soften skin. It contains essential oils and also plant extracts including Sarsaparilla and Hibiscus which relax and moisturise, Robinia which soothes and softens and Longan which stimulates. It comes in a semi-opaque white plastic bottle with turquoise writing on the bottle. It has a screw top cap with a covered top which has a small opening. The small opening is good as you can just squeeze a small amount of the lotion out rather than pour too much out at one time. The bottle holds 250ml and costs £24...

...If you go visit the Clarins counters you sometimes think that the girls there are just trying to sell you stuff well of course theyare but believe me they do know their stuff. I suffered from skin problems quite a lot and was struggling to find a cleanser and toner and moisturiser that didn't either dry my skin out or bring me out in loads of spots! I explained this to the lady and she showed me lots of different products. I went for the daily cleanser wash which has lasted me ages. I think it costs about £20. I also have the toner for oily/combination skin which was about £16.00 i think. Normally when you see the consultant they will give you trial sizes and testers of some of the products so you can try before you buy. ...I love my Clarins products apart from the products themselves I like the offers they have on regularly throughout the year where if you buy two products you get some trial sizes free. This is a great opportunity to try some of the other Clarins products without splashing out your cash. One product I got a trial size of was the Clarins Hand and Nail Treatment Cream. Clarins for oily or shiny skin

...I suffer from oily combination skin. I used to use Gatineau products bought from the beauty salon, they were only slightly more expensive than Clarins and I found that they were wonderful. The chemist local to where I work has an amazing selection of cosmetics. I popped in looking for a moisturising cream at the time and some new make up. I asked the lady behind the counter for some advice on what she thought was the best cream to use. She told me she suffered too from combination skin and that she uses the Clarins Ultra matte day concentrate which keeps the skin matte to help stop your make up from going shiny. ...Most premium products have one or two items that stand out from the rest of the products in a range. Chanel for me means colour Molten Brown for me is tops for the face wash and shower gels Gatineau for me is the Laser range and also the deep cleansing foam Decleor are the oils and balms created from pure and natural escences and so on. Clarins, i find is a premium brand product that i have found no benefit from. Nothing in the range stands out to me. Even the Beauty Flash balm, which is so raved about in review - £22 left my skin feeling sticky in the heat and made no difference to the appearance of my face whatsoever. Gentle Cleansing

Advantages: Very gentle on the eye area
Disadvantages: would be nice to have an extra muslin cloth

...A first saw Liz Earl's products on QVC, the first product I saw demonstrated was the Cleanse and Polish. This is such a gentle product and really does remove all traces of makeup without irritating the skin. It is completing safe to use on the eyes, gently massage over your face and around the eyes then remove with the muslin cloth provided. Leaves skin really soft and clean. Previous face washes I have used have not been suitable for use on the eye area and most definately do irritate the eyes. This is one of the only products that I have found to be as gentle as this on the eye area. I am always a little unsure about all these products that promise such good results but this really was a winner....
