clarins radiance-plus self tanning cream-gel

Advantages: gives a nice glow if applied correctly, and no problem for sensitive skin
Disadvantages: lid doesnt stay on, can look patchy if skin is dry

...I have been using clarins radiance plus self tanning moisturising gel for a while now, this is because its the only self tan i have ever used that is good for sensitive skin. I wouldnt say it was very moisturising. I tend to still use my usual moisturiser on top of this product, as my skin goes quite dry if i use clarins radiance plus on its own. It does give a nice colour,as long as your skin is well moisturised and exfoliated before hand, otherwise it can make your skin look quite patchy and uneven. I have tried other moisturising self tan creams, and they are either no good for sensitive skin, makes your skin look too dark, or appear to give no colour at all, clarins radiance plus is the best where these are concerned as long as again its applied again, correctly, and you dont need much. Advantages: Moisturzing and glides on easily
Disadvantages: not instant tan, no colour guide, colour is not v.good

...colourguide, which is less hassle than fake bake. The colour is quite 'golden', and i notice i have streaks probably due to my application guessing. I have marks where i have not applied the tan and it looks stupid. The colour in the end is average. I naturally have olive skin so i would have been better off with a bronzer tan than golden. 'Golden' tans can tend to look more yellow or orange based, whereas bronzer self tans such as fake bake and dark sunsation are more red coloured based which i prefer. The red undertones in fake bake and dark sunsation prevent the skin from going orange/yellow. I can still smell the fake tan smell from the clarins gel. Fake Bake - The best fake tan out there!

Advantages: AMAZING COLOUR! No smell, Easy to apply, Long lasting

...because if you do it the other way round you are left with stubbles of hair from where you exfolaited the dead skin cells off and the hair appears almost instantly! When this is done put body cream on all over so that your skin isn't dry and can absorb the tan properly, put quite a bit n the elbows and knee's as these are alot drier! Then PUT THE GLOVES ON! If you don't do this then you will end up with orange hands. I always start on the legs, it dosen't matter where put a biggish blob ( about the size of 10p) on your hands and then rub it in the skins until it is absorbed. TIP 1: If after it is sunk in and the colour is not much difference at all, put some more on. Dont be worried! I done this the first time to be safe but I had no tan at all when it washed off! Then go to the stomach and try to do the bottom of your back as well...

...I have tried and tested almost every self-tanning lotion/spray/gel on the market and therefore I reckon that I'm qualified to give an experienced review of Clarins fake tan. I am now a big fan of airbrushing, but I previously rated Clarins self-tanning gel as the best around for a flawless, golden tan. The first thing I should say is that I never have streaks when I apply fake tan. I also do not strictly follow the instructions. For a start, I never exfoliate and moisturise before I apply it - not because I'm against it, but because I'm too lazy. I therefore do not believe that it is entirely necessary - unless of course you have recently used a self-tanning lotion and are required to get rid of your old tan before applying the new one. ...When using this product you had to start in stages by doing a small section at a time. I found it was easier starting with the legs and spraying the product onto my leg then using an old sponge to spread it around as this product stains your hands terribly. It gave you a very good overall tan, although you needed to be sure you had covered all areas. I thought I had covered my feet an ankles well until the product had completely dried and I realised I had patches. I feel this is a good tanning product and the tan is very natural, however it washes off very easily and rubs of when near clothing. The bottle lasts a long time but dont quite feel it is worth the money as there is better products out there which are less hassle....
