clarins radiance-plus self tanning cream-gel
Advantages: gives a nice glow if applied correctly, and no problem for sensitive skin
Disadvantages: lid doesnt stay on, can look patchy if skin is dry
...I have been using clarins radiance plus self tanning moisturising gel for a while now, this is because its the only self tan i have ever used that is good for sensitive skin. I wouldnt say it was very moisturising. I tend to still use my usual moisturiser on top of this product, as my skin goes quite dry if i use clarins radiance plus on its own. It does give a nice colour,as long as your skin is well moisturised and exfoliated before hand, otherwise it can make your skin look quite patchy and uneven. I have tried other moisturising self tan creams, and they are either no good for sensitive skin, makes your skin look too dark, or appear to give no colour at all, clarins radiance plus is the best where these are concerned as long as again its applied again, correctly, and you dont need much. The price from Boots was £21.50, the last time...

St Tropez Self Tan
Advantages: Great colour and very even colour
Disadvantages: Takes time and alot of effort
...St Tropez is a great range that contains all the products needed for a fantastic natural looking all year round tan.
It claims to work instantly for a streak less application that will last for days.
It comes in an 8oz bottle with a handy pump action, which makes it a lot easier to use.
I paid £26.50 for this, which I know does seem like a lot.
I initially brought the St Tropez mousse however this brought me out in a rash so I had to discontinue using it. My friend used this lotion so I borrowed a little bit and I didn?t have the same reaction so decided to give it ago. I did love this at first because it brought me out in such a dark tan and I even had one done professionally, which cost £25, I thought after it was a waste of money because it really is easy enough to do it at home and get the same results.
This is in my...

Clarins gelée auto-bronzante-disppointment
Advantages: Moisturzing and glides on easily
Disadvantages: not instant tan, no colour guide, colour is not v.good
...colourguide, which is less hassle than fake bake. The colour is quite 'golden', and i notice i have streaks probably due to my application guessing. I have marks where i have not applied the tan and it looks stupid. The colour in the end is average. I naturally have olive skin so i would have been better off with a bronzer tan than golden. 'Golden' tans can tend to look more yellow or orange based, whereas bronzer self tans such as fake bake and dark sunsation are more red coloured based which i prefer. The red undertones in fake bake and dark sunsation prevent the skin from going orange/yellow.
I can still smell the fake tan smell from the clarins gel. Its not very pleasent and am quite paranoid about my friends smelling it. I g out with my friend and she comments how tanned my legs looked, but this was indoors. As i stepped outside the bright...

Amazing Fake Tan
Advantages: Natural Deep Colour
Disadvantages: Price
...After using tonnes of high-street fake tans I was very apprehensive about trying Fake Bake but decided to give it a go. The first time I purchased Fake Bake was from www.lookfantastic.co.uk and was in a set which included Fake Bake original lotion, body scrub and body oil and I was left with not much change from £50.00!! I thought it must be something special at that sort of price.
I followed the instructions that came with it and started off by using the body polish all-over in the shower. The Body Polish is great it smells great too, it doesn't take long to apply and makes your skin feel and smell gorgeous.
I then followed this busy using Fake Bake Body Oil, which as smells great. The oil is sprayed on whilst the skin is still wet and rubbed in gently. I then towel tried my skin and prepared myself for the fake tan.
I used...

Self-tanning sensation..
Advantages: realistic colour!!!
Disadvantages: definitely the price
...I am always a bit sceptical about self-tanning products. I have tried about three of them so far and always ended up with very uneven strange orangey or dark brown colour. On one occasion it was sooo bad that I couldn’t wear a skirt for a week because whatever I tried I just couldn’t wash it off!!!
I have decided to give this product a chance after seeing it in every fashion magazine on the market.
First of all I have to say it is expensive!! I paid £29.95 for my 240ml instant self-tanning mouse at Harrods. I think the actual sun tanning lotion is a bit cheaper. The main difference between the mousse and the lotion is the time it takes to dry and the colour of the product. The mousse is much easier to use!
1) It is very easy to apply!!! So the product gets top marks just for that. The mousse itself already has...

Fake Bake - The best fake tan out there!
Advantages: AMAZING COLOUR! No smell, Easy to apply, Long lasting
Disadvantages: Can be a little costly
...because if you do it the other way round you are left with stubbles of hair from where you exfolaited the dead skin cells off and the hair appears almost instantly!
When this is done put body cream on all over so that your skin isn't dry and can absorb the tan properly, put quite a bit n the elbows and knee's as these are alot drier!
Then PUT THE GLOVES ON! If you don't do this then you will end up with orange hands. I always start on the legs, it dosen't matter where put a biggish blob ( about the size of 10p) on your hands and then rub it in the skins until it is absorbed. TIP 1: If after it is sunk in and the colour is not much difference at all, put some more on. Dont be worried! I done this the first time to be safe but I had no tan at all when it washed off!
Then go to the stomach and try to do the bottom of your back as well...

Clarins - Achieve The Perfect Tan!
Advantages: Non-Streaky, Easily Applied, Long Lasting, Natural Colour
Disadvantages: A Bit Expensive
...I have tried and tested almost every self-tanning lotion/spray/gel on the market and therefore I reckon that I'm qualified to give an experienced review of Clarins fake tan.
I am now a big fan of airbrushing, but I previously rated Clarins self-tanning gel as the best around for a flawless, golden tan.
The first thing I should say is that I never have streaks when I apply fake tan. I also do not strictly follow the instructions. For a start, I never exfoliate and moisturise before I apply it - not because I'm against it, but because I'm too lazy. I therefore do not believe that it is entirely necessary - unless of course you have recently used a self-tanning lotion and are required to get rid of your old tan before applying the new one. The next step is to buy yourself a pair of latex gloves. These can be bought from the first...

Natural Looking Tan - Finally!
Advantages: Looks great, easy to use, even colour.
Disadvantages: Can be a little messy
...of a special blend of fruit-acids with a dihydroxy-complex that creates this natural tanning lotion. It is not tested on animals as it contains no harmful ingredients that would require extensive animal testing (Great!) .

---------------
Before doing anything make sure that you are wearing gloves. These are provided, but your should be able to get suitable gloves from pretty much anywhere.
You must also wash, exfoliate, and moisturise beforehand (Day before is best - moisturise really really well), like with all other self tanning products, if you want to achieve the best results.
I tend to begin applying mine after a shower, again moisturising well. Once you are dry, begin applying the lotion, covering all areas (this is essential as it is hard to tell when is properly covered). On areas that you want...

St Topez Self Tan lotion
Advantages: Bottle last a long time
Disadvantages: Tan can wash off very easily
...When using this product you had to start in stages by doing a small section at a time. I found it was easier starting with the legs and spraying the product onto my leg then using an old sponge to spread it around as this product stains your hands terribly. It gave you a very good overall tan, although you needed to be sure you had covered all areas. I thought I had covered my feet an ankles well until the product had completely dried and I realised I had patches. I feel this is a good tanning product and the tan is very natural, however it washes off very easily and rubs of when near clothing. The bottle lasts a long time but dont quite feel it is worth the money as there is better products out there which are less hassle....

Fake Bake still Original & the Best Fake Tan Ever Made
Advantages: a treat for your skin, Fake Bake is a treat for your skin. Imagine applying liquid chocolate and
Disadvantages: Fake Bake vs. St. Tropez - Fake Bake is the W I N N E R ! No Contest!
...Bake on for 2 days, then build up colour and have a beautiful Golden Tan, which lasts for weeks as long as I remember to moisturise regularly. Every single thing about Fake Bake I love - including the accompanying Passion Fruit exfoliator which smells absolutely luscious. I have eczema and the Fake Bake even gets rid of rashes! It contains 100 % Natural ingredients, so it is a treat for your skin and washes off sheets no problem. If I was to compare Fake Bake to St. Tropez, I prefer this to St. Tropez No Contest!! St. Tropez is far to chemically for me and if you have asthma or ezcema than I 'd say to you buy Fake Bake Please! Chemicals in products such as St. Tropez aggitate Asthma!!!...
