Classic FM Music for Drving

Advantages: Great songs - wonderful, popular tunes
Disadvantages: A few songs aren't as good as the others

...I recently bought this CD from amazon, costing £4.97 (which I thought wasn't too bad a price for a CD of anout 75 minutes of good, popular classical music), because I thought it would be nice to have to listen to when I'm learning to drive in a few months time. When the CD arrived I put it on the shelf, intending to keep it until I'm learning to drive but the attractive cover was too attractive and so I just had to listen to it - and I'm glad I did. The CD is really good, with some absolutely wonderful songs like Gabriel's Oboe and Rhapsody on a theme of Paganini (18th movement), played by famous orchestras like the London Symphony Orchestra and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra etc. Tracks include: 1. Advantages: A good introduction to sacred music
Disadvantages: A rather niche album on which those into the genre will find nothing new

...Introducing people to a new genre of music is often best accomplished through compilation albums, particularly where the music in question is not what one would really consider "mainstream" listening. Compilations enable one to listen to a range of music which, although of a type, will often vary quite a bit. I've found this to be particularly true of the classical genre. Some classical pieces can feel very inaccessible to the novice listener and concertos, sonatas and symphonies can go on for what seems like an age. ...This is a smashing little device for listening to music files or watching your video clips on the move. As always Apple's design is sleek, stylish and highly ergonomic. As far as battery life is concerned you should get about 30 hours if you're listening to music or 5 hours for video clips. The iPod 80 GB comes with plenty of features. There are different categories into which you can place your music files. Cover-flow allows you to scroll through albums - you just click on one to play it. iPod Classic truthful review

Advantages: Easy navigation, clear large screen, huge capacity, great looking, excellent value for money
Disadvantages: iTunes a little annoying, dodgy earphones

Contacts need to be synced from your computer (easily done), you can set an alarm or a sleep timer using the alarm function where you can wake up to your favourite song instead of that horrible beeping noise most alarm clocks use. iPod comes with three games that you'll find on the classic - vortex, klondike and iPod Quiz. I've downloaded a couple off the iTunes site (£3.99 per game) but the game iPod Quiz that comes with it is really good - it uses your own music files and asks you questions about them. Classic Ipod 80G

Advantages: Looks good, easy to use, good for value.
Disadvantages: Freezes sometimes, repetitive use can hurt hand, screen a bit small.

...I found the Ipod 80G Classic looked good and I paid £157 for it and its been a good companion. I think its easy to use and it does exactly what I wanted. I play videos and TV shows from mine and I find that very useful as it is very good quality. I also use it to put photos on and its easy to show people and when I want to look at my memories. Also I know that my photos are saved on it and recently when my computer failed I found it really useful as I knew I had them on my Ipod. ...I bought my Ipod Classic around a month ago to basically be able to carry all my albums round with me at all times and have a couple of my favourite movies to hand if I am ever bored. I used to have an Ipod Nano and thought that 2 GB of memory would be plenty for what I needed but soon found that I couldn't fit no way near half of my albums on there and had to cherry pick my favourite songs due to there being not enough space available. Now having 80GB it's surprising how much you can actually fit on it. I currently have around 15 movies, a season of lost and over a 100 albums and am still well under 30GB. It's unbelievable. Unless you would like to put all your movie collection on to your Ipod then I can definitely assure you that an 80GB capacity would more than cover your requirements. Advantages: Quick, simple, large memory, long batterey life, compact, stylish.
Disadvantages: At first it is complicated to use

...when i first purchased this product i struggled to use it because i didnt understand the syncronising from itunes to the pc, after a day or so i got the hang of itunes and set my ipod up. it is vey secure and can be pasword locked, and the cover flow option makes it fun to browse music. The viseo section is didided into small sections like TV shows, Movies, Music videos... this makes the ipod simple to use. I have several episodes of various tv shows on my ipod, a good thing about this is the ipod divides them up into their seperate seasons. The clicker can be turned off which a very good because it can get annoying, and you can even plug the device into a portable video accessory via usb cable and view tv shows from your ipod on a bigger screen!
