Singin In The Rain is an interesting film that combines dance and movement with musical pieces. It is cleverly written with camera angles and other special effects that make the dancing come to life. Each actor is able to combine a number of talents including dance, acting and singing. The actor's are good all round performers unlike you see nowadays. The all round performer reflects the time that this film was written because actors were trained then in all areas of performance. For anyone who loves musical type films they will probably love this film and want to add it to their collection. Equally this makes a fantastic gift for the lover...

...Well another film review and another one with Dustin Hoffman and another one that won an academy award. Im reviewing the 1988 hit drama "Rain Man" starring Dustin Hoffman and Tom Cruise. Hoffman's role for this film won him an academy award for best actor and it certainly deserved. Like most films that were made before my time I grew up watching them at a young age, my mum worked for a film marketing company and therefore I was always given a chance to watch all the new films, and some of the old one's. My brother who has seen Rain Man in the cinema, told me that's its one of those films that is an instant classic, it's just something that you would love. Named after their biggest hit to date, you get them perfoming some of the best R&B of the time, but not really pickign up that much of a following apart from when their hit "Candy Rain" is brought back as a nineties R&B classic. The group are known for merging the softness of early New Edition, with the soulful nature of groups such as Jodeci. 1. Surprising Picture Quality - Panasonic DVD-S54

Advantages: Incredible picture quality when compared to my old non-upscaling player with a scart lead
Disadvantages: Sometimes disc drive can be really noisy when DVD's initially load.

Unable to afford a Blu-Ray player my sister and I bought the Panasonic DVD-S54 to match our parents brand new Panasonic TX-32LZD80 LCD television as their Christmas 2008 present. Admittedly it was a slightly selfish purchase as we both live at home and wanted to watch DVDs on the big new TV ourselves! We bought the player from the electrical retailer Comet for about £100 just before Christmas so there were no discounts applied. On Christmas day when opened we found a relatively small box tightly packed with the player in polystyrene packaging. My wife and I have been renting a house Ferryhill now for five months and all we can say is when the 6 months contract is over we cannot wait to leave the property and we never want to hear the name Reeds Rains ever again. I have never known anything like it in my life. They have not fulfilled any of there resposabilities and as for the contract, that is a complete joke. I seems that the people renting are responsable for everything and they are not responsable for anything at all. From the minute we moved in we have had nothiong but problems starting with the hand rail up the stairs falling off the wall. ...Hard Rain is a live album of the second leg of the rolling thunder revue from 1976, which details some of the songs Dylan played during the concert, although it came under criticism for its depiction of the tour when the group was beginning to lose steam. But I have always found this a good listen for the strength and emotion that Dylan put into his performances on the two nights that this was recorded over. The two nights I am referring to are May 16th and 23rd 1976, when they were performing in Colorado at Hughes Stadium.
