...I bought this after getting a sample of a similar Clinique face wash and really liking it. I liked the sound of this one because it was described as being really gentle and I feel my skin is becoming increasingly sensitive recently. I cheated and got it from a seller on Amazon, which meant it worked out a few pounds cheaper than the original price which is £13.70 for the 150ml bottle. What it says on the bottle? ?Gently and effectively removes stubborn makeup, leaves skin smooth and comfortable? It also directs you to massage in the cleanser before rinsing or wiping off with a tissue. Packaging? The bottle is typically Clinique, it is a white tube with a hint of pink. ** A Confused Cleanser **

Advantages: Lovely on the skin, smooths and refreshes.
Disadvantages: Expensive, it does not cleanse as well as it should, disappointing packaging.

...The clay cleanser was originally recommended to me by my cousin who had suffered severe acne in her teens and twenties. She is now free of sore lumpy acne prone skin thanks to this and the dermalogica anti-bacterial face wash. She like me, uses it to prevent and clear up the odd few spots. I have very sensitive skin therefore it is not uncommon for me to suffer a sudden flare up of painful spots. I use the clay cleanser most days and when these breakouts do occur (perhaps every 5 weeks or so) this product is excellent in calming them down. ...I was first introduced to the Dermalogica range, by my beautician and tried a variety of their products, which are lovely to use, always light, mostly frangrance free and hypoallergenic (less likely to provoke an allergic reaction). Even at 38, I'm still prone to the ocassional break out, which is an absolute pain. Not only do my spots last longer, but having darker skin, I'm always left with a dark scar where the blemish was. I've been using Dermalogica's Dermal Clay Cleanser on and off for a couple of years, but found I lapsed, preferring to use a facial wipe, which is quicker. This particular cleaner is meant to cleanse and tone in one easy step, which I thought was good since it would cut some time out of cleansing and toning separately.
