Lancome Oil - a new way of cleansing

Advantages: results, smell, removes all traces of makeup,
Disadvantages: price tag..

...Having been despairing for months about my my skin breaking out im spots all the time I was desperate to find a cleanser that was good for my skin type ( annoying combination skin - oily and prone to breakouts but also prone to dryness) I've tried Boots Cucumber Cleansing Wipes, Simple Cleansing Wipes, Loreal lotion facial Cleanser Olay facial cleanser, Clearasil... despite several months persevering with each different cleanser my skin still didnt improve! But then I read an article in a magazine about how using 'oil' as a cleanser as the new 'must-have' product. The theory is: by cleansing you skin with a regular lotion / wipe / cream... you remove the layer of oil on your skin, the skin then reacts to this by producing more oil which then leads to the breakouts.... anyway, this Lancome product was listed as an example of one...

...Everywhere i look i see Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish " one of the best cleansers i have ever used ". Unfortunatley, in my case i have to disagree. I mean, i have no major complaints about this product apart from the fact that it didnt do any justice for my complextion. I have normal to combination skin, but recently i have had a few dry days and sensitivity on my skin. I never really cleansed my face with products just the old fashion way with water and then applying a moistoriser for my skin type. I tried this product in the hope that it would help the dryness and sensitivity that i was experiencing. Not only that, but i recently decided to go all natural and organic when it comes to my skin. Bio Oil

Advantages: Reduces stretchmarks, uneven skin tone, scars etc
Disadvantages: A little bit expensive but worth it

Control that excess oil and fight those blemishes.

Advantages: My skin feels less clogged up, smooth and just looks better.
Disadvantages: It's so expensive, £15 for a face mask... I can live without this one.

Gentle Cleansing

Advantages: Very gentle on the eye area
Disadvantages: would be nice to have an extra muslin cloth

...A first saw Liz Earl's products on QVC, the first product I saw demonstrated was the Cleanse and Polish. This is such a gentle product and really does remove all traces of makeup without irritating the skin. It is completing safe to use on the eyes, gently massage over your face and around the eyes then remove with the muslin cloth provided. Leaves skin really soft and clean. Previous face washes I have used have not been suitable for use on the eye area and most definately do irritate the eyes. This is one of the only products that I have found to be as gentle as this on the eye area. I am always a little unsure about all these products that promise such good results but this really was a winner....

It is used along with muslin cloths which are wet with hot water and wiped across your face to remove the cleanser. This also removes dead skin cells. This helps with the renewal of your skin. Husbands also get hold of it and use it for shaving. It is a family product and has no harsh chemicals in it. It comes in a pump action container which measures out the correct amount to use.
