...Mum has always been interested in Cliff since I can remember and we were brought up on how in the 60s she would wear her cardigan back to front as a low backless top as they could not afford a proper one. A few years ago my mums dream came true and she went to see Cliff in his musical. They had really posh seat and my step father was not impressed when mum all of sudden turned into a school girl of the 60s and started to scream and shout. Mum always said it was her dream come true and does not know what over come her, but we all have dreams and crushes as kids and parents still have them too. Well what better Christmas Present could I get her other than Cliff at Christmas. ...I have been to the Leas Cliff Hall on several occasions to watch bands such as Embrace and Pink Floyd tribute bands. I have also attended the musical Fame at this location. The Leas Cliff Hall There is one main arena at the Leas Cliff Hall and this consists of a large stage, with an open hall area in front on it. At the back of the hall, there are stairs which lead to upper stalls although the seating is fairly limited with only two rows all the way round. During the concerts that I have attended, there have been no seats laid out and visitors are left to stand in the large open hall area where they can view the band on stage. The only seating available is the higher seating around the outside of the hall. When I attended the musical Fame, the Leas Cliff Hall had been laid out in a completely different style. This whole area is now a nature reserve that is owned and managed by the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB). Surprising Picture Quality - Panasonic DVD-S54

Advantages: Incredible picture quality when compared to my old non-upscaling player with a scart lead
Disadvantages: Sometimes disc drive can be really noisy when DVD's initially load.

Unable to afford a Blu-Ray player my sister and I bought the Panasonic DVD-S54 to match our parents brand new Panasonic TX-32LZD80 LCD television as their Christmas 2008 present. Admittedly it was a slightly selfish purchase as we both live at home and wanted to watch DVDs on the big new TV ourselves! We bought the player from the electrical retailer Comet for about £100 just before Christmas so there were no discounts applied. A great Morphy Richards Product

Advantages: Delicious bread without such a gaping hole in the bottom

...I have had my original Morphy Richards breadmaker for two years and it was still in good working order but when I saw a new model in Robert Dyas, I had to go and investigate. The new model on display was boasting a drop down paddle which meant no more gaping holes in your bread after you have removed it from the tin. That has to be a plus! The fact that the price had been reduced from £70 to just under £50 swayed my decision. My current which model could be passed onto a grateful family member. As I unpacked this very good looking silver machine, I found an instruction book, guarantee card (for two years) and the measuring cup and spoons. The instruction book is very clear and is full of interesting recipes which include cake and jam. There are a list of baking cycle times and you can make a fast loaf in 1 hour should you wish...
