...Just Car clinic were recommended to us by our insurer following an accident which wasn't our fault. There was minor cosmetic damage on two panels on the rear of the drivers side. They came to collect the car on a Friday afternoon, telephoning before they set off. The driver walked around the car and recorded the damage inflicted by the accident, did not leave me with any form of receipt or a copy of the damage indication form he filled out to take back with him. And left. The website has it's own on-line tracking system where you can enter your car's job number and track the progress of your repairs. Unfortunately, the Just Car Clinic kept my car for nearly a week (until the following Friday) before they even looked at the damage and submitted an estimate to my insurance company, which raised problems with the courtesy car a separate...

Clinically bizarre.

Advantages: Fans of noise will like it.
Disadvantages: Won't set the world on fire.

...Clinic chose to call themselves thus because they believe the current music scene is dead (true), and that they are the ones who can breathe new life into its still-twitching corpse. On the strength of this album, the miracle isn't likely to happen for quite some time but it's a promising beginning. The excellent, rollicking lead single The Return Of Evil Bill is one of the highpoints here but there's not much else that can match it, save the gentle Distortions. Most of the songs are under three minutes long and use the same ingredients: harmonica, ultra-distorted guitar, and muffled, high-pitched vocals. The atonal noise on dislpay is the only thing that recalls the oft-cited influence of The velvet Underground. It's also a pity that the band have sold out by soundtracking the latest Levi jeans advert. It may earn the fans but it won...

...I would never of come across this album or the band for that matter had I not of been a keen user of Spotify. As it was under the section for what you may like I clicked on it and the rest, as they say, is history. Their first album, 3eps, was released in 1999 so The Clinics are not a newly formed band. After listening to it you can tell that their style has not changed too much. Still just as odd with slightly bizarre lyrics. "I've pictured you in coffins, my baby's in a coffin" Those few lines are part of a song which is supposed to be about love. The actual album is pretty short considering it's got 13 songs. Only lasting about 35 minutes in total, so blink and you may miss one. It uses an eclectic mix of guitars, drums, electronics, the seaside, tambourines, mouth organs and other stringed instruments. Cold, Clinical Polish Death Metal

This was the last album to feature Sauron on vocals, and is regarded by many as the band's proudest moment. The songs are a mix of cold, and at times almost doomy guitar lines and incredibly tight high-speed riffing backed up by fast, clinical, blastbeat-heavy percussion courtesy of the now sadly departed drummer Vitek. Lose 5 lbs in five days

Advantages: Great for kick starting a healthy eating regime
Disadvantages: You should not stay on this for longer than two weeks

...I got this diet from someone several years ago and it was entitled 'Mayo Clinic Diet' but as I understand it the Mayo Clinic actually has no association with it at all so bear that in mind as you read on. This diet offers rapid weight loss in matter of days but is not intended for sustained use. I use it from time to time when I feel my weight is creeping up and find it helps to kick start me into weight loss and is a good start before I engage in a more healthy eating regime. I find I can lose around 6 lb in five days on this diet and I tend only to use it for five days rather than the suggested two weeks (they suggest you can lose 20 ibs in two weeks). It works for me but I do stick to it rigidly and personally I think rapid weight loss diets do carry risks if you stay on them too long hence my five days maximum on this diet...
