Clinique 3-Step System Type I/II
Advantages: The ddml is great
Disadvantages: The soap is terrible
...I must admit, I am a bit of a sucker for overpriced cosmetics, skincare products being one of my weaknesses. Last spring, I decided to indulge in a pampering skincare routine, and visited my local perfumerie to find out what would make my skin turn to peaches and cream (I hoped overnight). It was suggested I try the tried-and-true Clinique 3-Step program. I was promised better skin in just two weeks! I was less than thrilled with my (very pricey) purchases.
The combo:
The three step skincare program consist of a bar of hard milled soap according to skin type (I was assigned type I/II which is normal to combination skin), a clarifying lotion also according to skintype (I was recommended to use 'clarifying lotion 2'), and Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion, aka DDML, for all skin types. For the whole set which consisted...

Fantastic skin at last - thank you clinique three step!
Advantages: excellent skin
Disadvantages: not cheap
...this I got spots. With the third step of the three steps, the dramatically different moisurising gel, I seem to avoid dry skin and it doesn?t seem to cause spots ? excellent!!
Buying it:
I got mine from House of Fraser, who had a special offer on for the 3 ?normal? size solutions plus 3 travel size ones for £54, which sounds like (and is) a lot of money but the lady estimated they would last for 6 months and so far I look to be on track for this, and around £2 a week for good skin is a price I?m willing to pay. Tesco value range provides my cotton pads at 36p for 50! If you don?t fancy having a consultation/buying the 3 step range in a shop you can get it online from Clinique direct, but personally I think its worth having someone look at your skin and decide which of the different strengths of 3 step products are best for you...

Almost 3 steps to perfect skin
Advantages: It works
Disadvantages: the price the moisturizer
...I'll admit I love lotions and potions for your skin, but when it comes to actually cleansing it using some greasy runny cleanser than a stinging tonerthat never really appealed so in all honesty good old soap and water ruled the day! So when I heard about Clinique's 3 step cleansing system it intrigued me as it seemed alot easier. However the price didn't so I put it to the back of my mind till I found myself prosing the goodies on offer in Macy's as you do! Given that Clinique is a sister company of the US cosmetic manufacturer Estee Lauder you'd expect their range to be slightly cheaper over in the US. However I wasn't expecting it to be that cheap! I was lucky to be able to purchase a trial size version of the 3 steps system for just over $23. The moisturizer in my pack retails for $20 normally as this is not a trial size.

3 Steps To Put Your Best Face Forward
Advantages: mild cleanser, non-greasy moisturizer, price for the value
Disadvantages: cleanser doesn't remove make-up
...I have used the Clinique 3 step system for years now and swear by it! I use the formula for dry/combination skin. This set is terrific for people with dry skin or combination skin, because it evens out the skin tone providing it with essential moisture without leaving it greasy. The set in total is about $50 and it well worth the price. It lasts reasonably long, as long as you use the product sparingly. Do the process twice daily, morning and night, and watch the results unveil before your very eyes.
The first step is the mild facial cleanser, which i have in a liquid form rather than the bar soap form. The liquid cleans the skin deep down to remove dirt build-up and leave the face clean, fresh, and ready for step 2. The cleanser is as mild as it says, it washes off with ease, and the fragrance is very mild and fresh smelling...

3 steps to great skin
Advantages: Highly effective results, cruelty-free, long-lasting
Disadvantages: A tad pricey for everyday use
...It is a well known fact (or, rather, perhaps, a well-informed assumption) that beautiful people have beautiful skin. Would a spot ever dare to invade Jennifer Lopez's face? No, of course not! And would Jennifer Anniston ever be seen with bags or dark circles under her eyes? Good grief, no! Well for us mere mortals who are not blessed with perfect features and a flawless complexion...is there any hope? Well, yes, actually there is! And it comes in the shape of Clinique's 3-step skin care routine (Mild Facial Soap; Clarifying Lotion and Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion). The quest for radiant-looking skin has been that bit more taxing for me since I have very sensitive skin which cries out if I dare to use the wrong product. However, thanks to the lovely people at Allders, I managed to blag myself some Clinique skin care...

3steps to A-list skin? Can't be bad...
Advantages: Gentle, Effective, Easy-to-Follow
Disadvantages: Requires regular use for maximum effect
...I'll admit I'm a product junkie and have been using Clinique makeup for about 7 years and occasionally dabbled with their other lotions and potions (I'm obsessed with SuperDefense moisturiser, their 7day scrub is sublime and I can't/won't leave the house without All About Eyes). I have been using Dermatologica skin care products for about three years and although I never had any major complaints - breakouts kept to a minimum, non-perfumed products etc etc - I always felt my skin was still on the dry side and I've never really felt my skin 'glowed'... something I always attributed to smoking, but at 23 and fit and healthy, my skin shouldn't feel dull and lack lustre!
Whilst doing my regular re-stocking of my make up, I asked about this fabled 3step system. The consultant took me through the analysis - Type I (tres sensitive and super...

Clinique - treat yourself!
Advantages: Skin feels softer, looks clearer and more radiant in 14 days
Disadvantages: A lot more expensive than products I've been used to
...) I got myself to thinking about my skin care system.
Again I'd read recommendations but other people said I should stick to my basic stuff if my skin was quite good. I bought myself a sample sized kit off ebay (£15) so I could at least give it a try. It arrived just before Christmas so I've had 2 weeks to try it out.
THE SYSTEM
Clinique advertise the system as 3 Products, 3 Minutes, Twice a Day. Step 1 is Cleansing, Step 2 Clarifying and Step 3 Moisturising. Each system is tailored to a skin type and you can have a consultation to determine your skin type either at your local Clinique counter or online (www.clinique.com)
STEP ONE:
This consists of Clinique's dermatologist-developed facial soap bar, or liquid facial soap. Yes... you read that correctly - SOAP! Clinique soap claims to emoves facial dirt and oil...

A guide to Clinique's 3 Step Skin Care System
Advantages: really does help with skin condition
Disadvantages: can be expensive
...I have been using this 3 Step Skin Care system for the best part of five years now. I think it is brilliant. If you've never used it and want to give it a go here's a guide to help you.
Go to any Clinique counter - these can be found in any department stores - Debenhams, Rackhams, and even larger Boots. I know that the assistants at these counters can seem slightly patronizing but it will be worth it in the end!
The assistant will take you through a consultation; this is to find out what type of skin you have so that the 3-Step system can be tailored to your individual needs.
You will be asked the following questions:
* What colour eyes do you have?
* What is the natural colour of you hair?
* How does you skin react to the sun without protection?
* What is your skin’s natural colour (without a suntan)?
* What is your...

Neurotic Males Guide to Skincare
Advantages: Works, Looks Nice, Great Results
Disadvantages: Expensive, Uses Some Controversial Ingredients
...Since the time I was born I have had very dry skin; as a child I used Hydrocortisone cream which only ever soothed the itching and flaking for a while and then caused the dryness to flare up again, with the added bonus of making my skin hyper sensitive. It wasn't until I became an image obsessed, self absorbed, love hungry teenager that it actually began to bother me (turning up to high school with dry skin peeling off your face is not the ticket to popularity, apparently). Along with super dryness I also managed to get the few spots, which eventually turned into more than a few spots... So being a thoroughly neurotic male I took my money to the nearest Beatties, looked for the cosmetic station with the prettiest assistant and got a free 'Clinique consultation'.... and I have been using their products ever since.
The 3 step skincare...

Clinique skincare
Advantages: Great skin
Disadvantages: The cost
...I am 23 years old and just recently my skin has been suffering, and have been getting breakouts on my forehead. I have used most of the high street brands my face would often sting and sometimes even affect my eyes, and not improving the condition of my skin.
I knew that Clinique had a good reputation but couldn't afford the range, luckily I received everything I needed for my Birthday 3 days ago. I was given 'Take the day off' make up remover, 'liquid facial soap', 'clarifying lotion' and 'dramatically different moisturising gel'.
Imediately I noticed how gentle the products were on my skin, it felt so soft and smooth.
I have only been using the products for 3 days and have noticed a dramatic improvement in my skins condition. I have also noticed how little you need, especially with the moisturiser. The pump dispenses a tiny...
