...This is the best liquid foundation I have tried and believe me I have tried a fair few! The best part is it's more affordable than alot of other high end foundations that don't perform as well. The 17 shades offer a range from ultra fair to olive, i am more of an olive tone so this was great for me. I don't know if there are any darker shades than that, so darker skins may want to choose another foundation. This product is supposed to last all day, however I found that it does fade a little if left on longer than 12 hours. Although many people probably don't need it to last much longer than this! The foundation is great as it doesn't smudge. Clinique sell this product as "transfer resistant" and I can confirm that this is definetly true of this foundation. The foundation is in liquid form so it is really easy to blend...

Clinique gentle light foundation

Advantages: light coating, luminous, balances imperfections

...I have been using Clinique gentle light makeup now since September. I have tried various different foundations and none of them have really suited my skin. After endless searching I decided to enlist the help of boots makeup artist and found myself drawn to the Clinique section. The makeup artist tried different tones on my skin to find one which suited me nicely. The end product was I came away with 09 cream light foundation by Clinique. This foundation suits various skin types from dry/delicate to oily, although on the packaging it states not for the oiliest skins. The skin types are graded with roman numerals, these range from I to IV, ranging from dry skin to very oily. A quick quiz is used to determine what type of skin you have; this was available in boots and can also be found on the Clinique website under 'My Skin Report...

Clinique soft finish foundation!

Advantages: Long lasting coverage, Moisture giving, everything you'd want in a foundation!
Disadvantages: Price, but the price is honestly worth it.

My skin is dry on my cheeks and jawline, but i am prone to spots on my forehead, around my nose and on my chin. I'm a teenager so this is not uncommon. MY EXPERIENCE When i first bought foundation from clinique, (gentle light make up) i found it was not enough coverage, and quite shiny on my face. Allthough it had been the best foundation i'd used until now. After that i was forced to use a different one as this had been discontinued. Clinique are All About Eyes

Advantages: Tones skin, nice silky texture, diminishes dark circles
Disadvantages: Doesn't rid me completely of the dark circles, no SPF

...so lightweight and silky. It's cooling and soothing on the skin and is absorbed really quickly and effortlessly. It creates a great base for eye makeup, working like a primer to allow concealer or foundation to cling to it and last longer. Clinique recommend using this both morning and evening, and I find that it is lightweight enough to do so. But the real test of an eye cream is in its long term effects. I've now been using this for two months and the skin around my eye is no longer dry or flaky, is more toned and feels a lot smoother. My dark circles are not completely gone, but have been noticeably reduced to the point where my concealer is actually able to fully conceal them, which is a first for me! ...I went for a Max Factor Foundation as I knew the brand as was intrigued by the 'colour adapt' part of the labelling. As I had previously found it hard to find a foundation that matched and complemented my skin tone (I'm fairly pale in skin colour), this appealled to me as I'm always keen to avoid that over made up look.
