...This is the best liquid foundation I have tried and believe me I have tried a fair few! The best part is it's more affordable than alot of other high end foundations that don't perform as well. The 17 shades offer a range from ultra fair to olive, i am more of an olive tone so this was great for me. I don't know if there are any darker shades than that, so darker skins may want to choose another foundation. This product is supposed to last all day, however I found that it does fade a little if left on longer than 12 hours. Although many people probably don't need it to last much longer than this! The foundation is great as it doesn't smudge. Clinique sell this product as "transfer resistant" and I can confirm that this is definetly true of this foundation. The foundation is in liquid form so it is really easy to blend...

...In the past whenever I have approached one of the ladies behind a makeup counter for help on finding a foundation to suit my skin, I have always walked away not pleased. These ladies have come across as being very helpful & they do try their best but they have always tried colours on my skin that were a few shades too dark unfortunately. This might have been down to the fact that I have an uneven skin tone & in order for them to try to even out my skin colour, they always happened to pick out the darkest colour on my face and go with that particular shade. On the odd occasion when I have been shown a shade that I didn't particularly mind, I felt like my face had far too many layers on it, the foundation was too thick for my liking, I looked overdone, and it neither felt nor looked natural. Clinique gentle light irritating makeup

Advantages: Nice colour and coverage

...This is my second Clinique foundation, and I think a symptom of my getting older. I used to use their Almost makeup, which is extremely light, but has the advantage of being SPF15. However, as I am getting older and more tired, it is making less and less difference. So I decided to upgrade. I decided to put my faith in the Clinique counter lady and went into boots. I told her what I had previously used and that it wasn't quite doing enough anymore. The woman said that this one was next up on the coverage list, so she tried out some colours and gave me a little bottle. As usual with Clinique products, it was a costly little bottle at £18.50 for 45ml; but I've used enough of them over the years to know that they're good quality, last for a long time and suit my skin. Almost Foundation ... Certainly Make Up

Advantages: Blends well, isn't heavy, protects against sun related skin damage
Disadvantages: Can get water-y (separates), expensive, middling coverage

...make my skin feel moisturised, and not as claggy as it can do with a typical foundation. Another advantage is that it doesn't create as much shine as some foundations can, and blends better. I therefore don't need as much powder over the top. On the down sides, over time the consistency, as I mentioned, has become quite runny, and so I do need to shake the tube well before using. As I age, I do realise that sometimes I need a bit more coverage than an 'almost makeup' can provide. I sometimes find myself piling more and more of it on in order to hide various imperfections. Clinique Superbalanced compact make-up

Advantages: Gives a natural look

...I bought this Clinique Superbalanced compact make-up for about £17 for 10g from Boots about a year ago. I It's a must have for combination skin; it knows exactly where to hydrate and control oil. It's an oil free product with 13 different shades, I recommend golden for medium to dark skin (I have pale skin but when I get a spray tan I use this colour) The good thing about this foundaiton is you can buy refills so you dont have to keep buying the whole compact again and again refills cost £14 for 10g saving around £3 if you buy another compact. The coverage is moderate; I don't like full coverage foundations as they look really unnatural, where as this compact makes your skin look very natural but flawless at the same time. Super for Clinique Superfit

Advantages: Light, long lasting finish
Disadvantages: So popular its often out of stock

...I have tried various foundations and a couple of them by Clinique. I actually tried this for the first time about 18 months ago and have gone back to it recently having been lured away when i couldn't get shade no 5 for a while - it seems to be most popular shade. It is long lasting, gives a light glowy finish. I don't like any foundation that is too heavy or drying on the skin. Since i have gone back to this product people have often commented that i "look well" or my make up "looks really nice". As far as coverage goes, I like that it is a little squeezy bottle so you can just put a little on your fingers and work it in. I think it is pretty good value for money as you don't need to reapply it during the day too....
