...Since the time I was born I have had very dry skin; as a child I used Hydrocortisone cream which only ever soothed the itching and flaking for a while and then caused the dryness to flare up again, with the added bonus of making my skin hyper sensitive. It wasn't until I became an image obsessed, self absorbed, love hungry teenager that it actually began to bother me (turning up to high school with dry skin peeling off your face is not the ticket to popularity, apparently). Along with super dryness I also managed to get the few spots, which eventually turned into more than a few spots... Fantastic skin at last - thank you clinique three step!

Advantages: excellent skin

The product: Clinique three step sells itself as ?three minutes, twice a day? to get better skin. It involves first washing your face with a liquid soap, then using a type of cleanser/toner liquid on a cotton wool pad and finally moisturizing using their ?dramatically different? hydrating gel. These three products definitely enhance the sophisication of your bathroom in their classy green, pink and yellow hues, but even more importantly they seem to work! Clinique Turnaround Visible Skin Renewer

Advantages: Made my skin look and feel a lot brighter
Disadvantages: Bit on the expensive side for such a small bottle

...I really like the Clinique brand. I know they are on the expensive but I am a real sucker for their products. I bought this as part of a promotional offer at Boots and I have to say I am really impressed with it! This Clinique Turnaround Concentrate was really nice on my skin. The cream is meant to brighten up your skin and give you a more even appearance by using exfoliants which continually resurface the skin. I always feel that in the winter months my skin always looks a little dreary and not quite as fresh as it normally does. I started using this about October time and I really think it has improved my skin over the festive months! ...I'll admit I love lotions and potions for your skin, but when it comes to actually cleansing it using some greasy runny cleanser than a stinging tonerthat never really appealed so in all honesty good old soap and water ruled the day! So when I heard about Clinique's 3 step cleansing system it intrigued me as it seemed alot easier. However the price didn't so I put it to the back of my mind till I found myself prosing the goodies on offer in Macy's as you do! Given that Clinique is a sister company of the US cosmetic manufacturer Estee Lauder you'd expect their range to be slightly cheaper over in the US. However I wasn't expecting it to be that cheap! Seriously some of the best skincare that money can buy

Advantages: really really works and bottles last an awful long time
Disadvantages: PRICE!! best used as a regime then single products on their own

...and professionals alike I booked myself in for one of their prescriotive facials otherwise known as "face mapping" and I was told a range of products that would suit me. Unlike some brands that have set oily/combo or dry/sensative lines dermalogica allows you mix and match from their ranges to find the perfect tailor-made regime for you. I ended up purchasing Special Cleansing gel (for normal/combo skin), antioxidant hydramist (for premature ageing/dehydration), active moist (for oily skin) and multivitamin thermofolitant (skin ageing) and finally a hydrating booster for my excema prone bits...
