PLEASE READ! Clinique facial soap does help
Review of Clinique Liquid Facial Soap by
sunny715
Advantages: Cleans face without drying and lasts for ages
Disadvantages: none
...Well clinique describe this product as having all the benefits of Clinique's facial soap in a liquid formula. It is supposed to prep skin for exfoliating without drying the skin and it comes in 3 different strenghts, these are - extra mild, mild and oily and you choose the one which is best suited to your skin type which can either be dry, a combination of oily and dry or very oily, the bottle has a convenient pump that dispenses just the right amount each time you use it .
I have found all this information to be completely true unlike some products that i have tried in the past which tend to bend the truth a bit to sell there products for eg. clearasil who say that your spots will start to go in just 3 days of using there products is a complete lie anyway back to clinique, the product is fragrance free which is good as you can...

Not your average bar of soap
Review of Clinique Ant-Blemish Solutions Soap by
Vicky_M
Advantages: Gentle, clears skin, lasts for ages
Disadvantages: A bit pricey
...My mum has always told me that I should use good old-fashioned soap and water instead of fancy lotions and such but I always insisted that my skin needed more attention than that! Well, mum knows best (sort of) after all! I was very dubious about using soap on my slightly sensitive problem skin but the Clinique assistant made it sound great so I decided to give it a try, after all, it's not like this is just a 99p bar of soap from the supermarket! It's pricey stuff at £10 for 150g! However, may I just say that although £10 seems (to me anyway) like an awfully large amount of money to pay for a bar of soap, it does last for ages so I think it's just as good value as paying £3-5 for some other cleanser that probably isn't as good.
BUYING THE SOAP

As always, when I went down to the Clinique counter in my local...

Advantages: Dermatologically recommended
Disadvantages: None although some may find it expensive
...If you are like me, you have been told by just about everyone, not to use soap on your face as it will dry out the skin. Not so. Apparently, Dermatologists recommend using a mild soap to be the best way to cleanse your face.

I'm a Clinique Convert
Review of Clinique Liquid Facial Soap by
tia_bailey
Advantages: Clean, fresh, clear skin
Disadvantages: None
...Having tried a few Clinique products and being left disappointed that they didn’t work as well as I’d expected, I’ve always avoided, despite many attempts by several friends to ‘convert’ me, trying the Clinique 3 Step System. I finally gave in however, when one of said friends bought me a 3 Step Gift Set for Christmas. She knows I have oily/spot prone skin, and so she got me the set for skin types 3 and 4, which is for normal to oily/oily skin. The 3 Step System, for anyone who doesn’t know consists of, you guessed it, 3 steps, as follows: Step 1: Cleanse (Facial Soap or Liquid Facial Soap), Step 2 : Tone (Clarifying Lotion), Step 3 : Moisturise (Moisturising Lotion or Gel). My step 1 is the Liquid Facial Soap Oily Skin Formula.
Clinique’s Liquid Facial Soap is priced at £13 for a 200ml bottle, or £15 for 3 50ml tubes which would...

No Tom thats NOT soap for your hands!!!!!
Review of Clinique Facial Soap by
elvyelvy
Advantages: Never leaves skin feeling tight after use, long lasting.
Disadvantages: Doesn't necessarily deep clean.
...Looking for something that would make my skin beautifully spotfree I reached for a bar of Clinique Facial Soap.
This is the first step of the world famous Clinique 3 Step Program and comes in 3 strengths (best going to a Clinique counter to find out which is best suitable for your skin type particularly those with more sensitive skins). The price is £8.50 for a 100g bar which some might say is a bit pricey for what is essentially a facewash under the guise of a soap and you can get it from all good make up stores and even some larger supermarkets now! In keeping with the Clinique ethos it is both fragrance free. However, it also states that it is 100% allergy tested which I've just read somewhere means that it has been tested on animals- I can't seem to find any official word on this but if anyone has any definitive answer feel free...

The first I've heard of face soap!
Review of Clinique Facial Soap by
Yazzi1
Advantages: Actually work to reduce oil, compact
Disadvantages: Not good on all skins, part of a routine (althoough you do get used to it)
...My experience with the Clinique Facial Soap was an eye opener! When you first think of cleaning your face with soap, (well myself at least) I was actually quite negative as normal soaps can dry your skin and alter the natural production of oils within the face, therefore not seeming te best option. However the lady at the Clinque counter was quick to intervene.
Who is it recommended for?
*******************************
The Facial Soap is recommended for those with oily skin, whether this is combination (the forehead, nose and chin areas) or the whole face. The aim as with most other products for this skin type is to regulate the production of oils, not to dry the skin! You may be pleased to find out that in fact having oily skin can be an advantage when growing older, as oiler skins age slower due to the nature of the oils...

Soaps with no hopes
Review of Clinique Facial Soap by
jasy
Advantages: Quick and easy
Disadvantages: Drying, expensive
...I first used this product while staying at a friends house, she said I could use her Clinique 3 step routine as I had left my wash stuff at home.
I have never really used soap to wash with as in our house we only have a shower so shower gel seems to be the best thing to use. But for my face, the conventional bottles of cleanser and toner has always been for me and I needed a change. So clutching this great big bar of soap I didn't quite know what to do with it! Anyway I ran a basin full of tepid water, splashed it all over my face and |
