...In the past whenever I have approached one of the ladies behind a makeup counter for help on finding a foundation to suit my skin, I have always walked away not pleased. These ladies have come across as being very helpful & they do try their best but they have always tried colours on my skin that were a few shades too dark unfortunately. This might have been down to the fact that I have an uneven skin tone & in order for them to try to even out my skin colour, they always happened to pick out the darkest colour on my face and go with that particular shade. On the odd occasion when I have been shown a shade that I didn't particularly mind, I felt like my face had far too many layers on it, the foundation was too thick for my liking, I looked overdone, and it neither felt nor looked natural. Superfit with this foundation :) (Clinique SuperFit Makeup)

Advantages: great coverage and lasts
Disadvantages: slighlty pricey

...on the skin. I use a trusty make up sponge to make sure its blended properly. I love the full coverage it gives, perfect when I am called out to the hospital in the middle of the night. I just stick a layer of this on and you can't tell I have had no sleep! I buy alot of my make up from Debenhams, which you have proabaly noticed from my other reviews. This product costs me around £17.50 which i think is great compared to other such as estee lauder which can cost up to £21 for the same size foundation. Overall this foundation gives good blendable coverage which stays on and lasts....

SUPERFIT FOUNDATION FOR A NATURAL, HEALTHY SKIN

Super for Clinique Superfit

...I have tried various foundations and a couple of them by Clinique. I actually tried this for the first time about 18 months ago and have gone back to it recently having been lured away when i couldn't get shade no 5 for a while - it seems to be most popular shade. It is long lasting, gives a light glowy finish. I don't like any foundation that is too heavy or drying on the skin. Since i have gone back to this product people have often commented that i "look well" or my make up "looks really nice". As far as coverage goes, I like that it is a little squeezy bottle so you can just put a little on your fingers and work it in. I think it is pretty good value for money as you don't need to reapply it during the day too....

...were fine when I asked. I apply mine with my fingers, they used a sponge and I know the new thing is a brush which Clinique sell for £20, but whichever method you use I'd say a little really does go a long way. I use a Clinique makeup remover then a soap bar and it comes off easily, but doesn't wear off or transfer easily in the day....

Almost Foundation ... Certainly Make Up

Advantages: Blends well, isn't heavy, protects against sun related skin damage
Disadvantages: Can get water-y (separates), expensive, middling coverage

...to be had, and sure enough, freebies I got...but that's a story for another day). The consultant recommended Clinique Almost Make Up. It would be fair to say that this stuff falls somewhat between a tinted moisturiser and a full blown foundation. It comes in a green tube (thus resembling a moisturiser), but it has a full range of colours and shades (Although I'm pretty fair, I'm using 03 - Medium, as I bought it when I had a bit of a tan). The consistency is thinner than a foundation (in fact, it sometimes comes out quite watery - I have to remind myself to shake the tube well). The tube tells me it's fragrance free and allergy tested. I've never experienced any irritation when using this, but my skin isn't especially prone to it (though when I used Mac foundation, I did notice a slight burning sensation).
