Clinique Unhappy
Advantages: Allergy tested, Fragrance free, Some improvements to my skin
Disadvantages: Very expensive, Smells like TCP
...As brands of skincare products go, you don't get much bigger (or much more prestigious) than Clinique. Established in 1968, these are cosmetics so posh that they have to be sold by scarily immaculate women in clinical white outfits stationed on special counters in Boots and department stores rather than off the shelf like most brands - and they have price tags to match. Anybody who knows me may well be wondering what someone as cheap as me is doing with such top of the range toiletries. How exactly can I afford to indulge in the legendary "3 Step System" that Clinique purvey? The simple answer is that I can't?but I did find a bottle of their Clarifying Lotion 3 lurking around on ebay for a modest price (by Clinique standards) and decided to give it a try. After all, hadn't I read plenty of glowing reviews here saying how wonderful...

Clinique are All About Eyes
Advantages: Tones skin, nice silky texture, diminishes dark circles
Disadvantages: Doesn't rid me completely of the dark circles, no SPF
...Dark circles are my biggest complexion problem - no matter what I do, whether it's more sleep, more water, eye creams, they don't seem to budge. Having tried numerous eye creams in the past, I'd not been convinced that they really did anything to help shift the circles, but when I began to suffer from tiny patches of dry skin under my eye last month, I knew it was time to invest in an eye cream pretty sharpish! Having read numerous positive reviews of Clinique's All About Eyes on Dooyoo, it seemed to be the best choice as it promised to rid me of the dark circles as well as moisturising.
All About Eyes is packaged in a small 15ml orangey pink pot with silver screw top lid. Like all Clinique packaging, it's simple but classy and looks great. It has a plastic cover underneath the lid to prevent the cream from falling into the lid if you...

Classy Clinique Aromatics Elixir
Advantages: Little goes a long way really nice fragrance
Disadvantages: none
...I have only just discovered this perfume and I love it. The fragrance is from Estee Lauder subsidary company Clinique.
Aromatics comes in a lemon coloured box and the bottle is glass as shown in the picture with a spray top. It retails between £20--£27 for a 25ml size and can be bought at most good department stores and chemists as well as on line from various perfume discount sites.
The fragrance has a rich woody dry character with light violet undertones. The rich fragrant ingredients that also have physical benefits include
Rose de mai for toning properties
Sandalwood and camomile for cleansing
Orange blossom to relax muscles
White jasmine
Oakmoss and Patchouli
When first sprayed on it is quite strong and spicey but settles down to a subtle slightly flowery fresh smell which lasts on me until I wash it off which is...

What a pretty little shampoo you are
Advantages: does exactly what is says on the bottle
Disadvantages: a bit pricey
...recently (not my new hobby – I’ve been commuting weekly to Switzerland) I’ve had plenty of opportunity to browse the beauty counters in duty-free. I thought I’d give the clinique hair-care range a go.
Appearance & Packaging
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The shampoo comes in sleek 200ml bottles with snap-top lids. The shampoo itself is a pretty lavender colour and is slightly opalescent. It’s quite thick for a shampoo. You don’t get any additional packaging other than the bottle that is a bit more environmentally friendly than many luxury brands.
Where to buy it
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Clinique products are widely available. I bought mine in the airport. Clinque can also be found in large Boots store and most major department stores. As I was in the airport I didn’t have to communicate with a lady in...

Clinique.
Advantages: Jolly good skin
Disadvantages: The price
...Before moving to France, I was one of those women whose most expensive toiletry purchase was a Boots own, three for the price of two, makeup remover/moisturiser/ toner - I really didn't give the subject much thought. On arriving in Paris, I was faced by a very peculiar phenomena - women seemed to spend *A LOT* of money on looking good, not just their clothes, but also their skin care. Not to be outdone by the chic little b*****s (do I sound bitter?), I decided to investigate.
The most popular brand here is Lancome, but after discovering that Lancome also own Loreal and basically repackage those items for the Lancome range (and being allergic to most Loreal products), I decided to try out Clinique.
Clinique has mystique in Paris, simply because it isn?t a French brand, so I was making one of those one-up-woman-ship deals on my...

Dove Shampoo
Advantages: -
Disadvantages: -
...Dove shampoo is a great shampoo for every day use. It leaves your hair looking and feeling really healthy and moisturised but not greasy.
Application
You use Dove shampoo in the same way that you would use any other shampoo, though I find this shampoo a bit more lathery than others and maybe a bit harder to rinse out, nothing worth putting you off using it though.
The Smell
Dove shampoo smells a bit like their soap products, but it smells that way in a shampoo kind of way, if that makes sense lol. It is a very clean smelling shampoo and the smell lingers on your hair for a while after you have washed and dried it.
The Results
After using this shampoo I noticed that my hair smelt very nice, after drying my hair I noticed that it had some extra volume than usual in it and it was very manageable and easily styled. More...

Batiste Dry Shampoo
Advantages: A fab product which leaves hair looking great
Disadvantages: None at all
...I was having a really bad hair day a couple of weeks ago, though it was my own fault as the night before I hadn't washed my hair out of laziness! I have the type of hair which does need washing on a daily basis or else it looks greasy, dull and lifeless the day after. My hair was that bad due to it not being washed that it made me feel really awful and self conscious. A work colleague recommended that I try Batiste Dry Shampoo for such occassions.
I took her advice and purchased a bottle from Tescos on my next shopping trip. I paid £1.99 for a 150ml cannister, which I thought was quite good value for money.
The cannister itself is a bright yellow colour with a jade green plastic lid. The cannister is re-cycleable and is found amongst the normal shampoos on the shelves. It supposedly had a Tropical scent to it, which was the theme...

Cliniquely great
Advantages: Large sizes last for ages
Disadvantages: Very very expensive
...under my skin, broke out and I looked very, very pink. This lasted a few days and have now all gone. For the most part my skin is now close to something it hasn't been since I was about 12, clear. I have also found that my skin is grease free for most of the day when I go without make-up. However I put this down to the disipline of the routine rather than the products and whilst they are very good I feel that only the soap is really worth the price.
Cliniques range includes:
Make up
Special skin care products (anti ageing, anti blemish etc)
Body care
Hair care
Products for men
Sun care and fragrances.
Prices range from around £8 (shampoo and conditioner) to £42.50 (Happy perfume spray)
I haven't used these so I can't honestly give an opinion or recommendation but I would recommend taking a look at least....

Clinique clarifying lotion helps with milia
Advantages: Clears up my cheek milia, exfoliates really well, diminishes wrinkles
Disadvantages: Stings a bit when applied, fairly expensive for most
...For years I've had milia on my cheeks, but I didn't know what they were. Since I read that milia only appears around the eye area, I always presumed that I'm just prone to whiteheads. Although they're not really whiteheads since they look like bumps under the skin. They are trapped skin cells. If I tried to squeeze them, I'd make an absolute mess of my skin and they'd then turn into inflamed spots that can be popped. However for the first few days, there would be nothing but clear liquid in them. I was always puzzled by this.
And then I came across a forum where someone was talking about their cheek milia and I recognized my problem. Funny enough, the advice to try Clinique Clarifying Lotion came from my boyfriend. He uses it all the time and claims that's why his skin looks amazing, despite having oily skin. Don't you just love...
