...I am in yr 9 and I am taking Textiles for my GCSEs and one day out of the blue our technology teacher said ' we have 10 spaces on the coach to go to the clothes show live in Birmingham NEC on Tuesday 7th of December, do you want to go?' I wasn't quite sure but I gave it a go!! I paid £26.50 for the day and bus fares there and back. Which I didn?t think was too bad! We left school at 9:15 am and got there around 12:00 after stopping for a refreshment break half way there! With aching legs we walked down to the massive NEC. We were told we would meet at 2:00pm to go to the catwalk. I and my 5 friends roamed off until after 10 minutes found the pink zone! There we saw the gorgeous Phixx live!! Clothes Show Live 2007 (NEC)

Advantages: Plenty of makeup, fashion and goodie bags!
Disadvantages: Not enough shoes or "normal" stuff

...I visted the Clothes Show exhibition at the NEC in Birmingham yesterday. I have to say I was rather dissapointed. I have been previously (2004) and it was absolutely brilliant. This year however the standards of stalls was appauling! The fashion show (10:00 show) was brilliant. Lots of scantally clad men and women "dancers" as they were called and plenty to keep you entertained. If only a bit short. Caprice made an appearance showing off her underwear line which is lovely (and a bargain at the show with 2 bras for £15). The "dancers" were superb. Some doing acrobatics/break dancing and coming into the crowd. Unfortunately lots of 12-16 year olds creaming down your ears but otherwise most enjoyable! The stalls lacked a sence of individuallity with many selling the same clothes under different labels. There were however some...

...I would like to share my favourite internet shopping site with everyone. This is an american site but they deliver anywhere in the world. The clothes are really cool , a great price and the delivery is quick. The website is fun to look around and shop. I received my order in a week and was delighted with the clothes. They were a great fit and really well made. The only negative thing about buying from america is the tax that goes onto it when it reaches the UK. I had to pay an extra £35 on top of the money i spent on the website....

STICK TO YOUR SHOPS GIRLIES

Advantages: Good show, easy to get to & quite entertaining
Disadvantages: Expensive food, no freebies & too many people

...The clothes show is held ever year and runs over the first week of December In time for all that Christmas shopping this year it was held from the 2nd Dec till the 7Th Dec what ever the date is it always runs from a Friday till Wednesday at the Birmingham NEC & is on from about 9am till 6pm. HOW TO GET THERE We travelled there by car on the M42 Junction 6 and parked relatively close by it cost £7 and there where 5 bays and as we where quite late we got in the last bay number 5 there was a courtesy bus but there where queues of people trying to get on so we walked it was about 20 minutes away and it was freezing but simple as you just follow the crowds but can be very cold! I wouldn't suggest getting dropped off because the queues off the M42 can be quite long and I think if my dad had dropped us off he could have quite easily gone...

I had never seen this type of product before and was impressed with the packaging and the general design of the book and craft kit. The kit comes in the form of a spiral bound book, which is good in itself because it means that once the page is opened, it stays open at that page- a bonus for budding clothes peg doll makers! Attached to the side of the book is a zip up sturdy plastic wallet with all the bits and pieces necessary to make three dollies inside. Soft and fragrant clothes

...I like the smell of conditioner on our clothes and I tried a lot of conditioners until I found this one. It is so difficult to tell in the shop which concentrated fabric conditioner will have nice smell on our clothes. Each fabric conditioner has so strong and chemical smell that I really can?t tell whether it will smell good or not. If you smell the Comfort Naturals rich blend with jojoba oil & fragrance of white orchid fabric conditioner you will feel a strong floral smell. Price and package ------------------------ The conditioner looks like custard although it is a bit thinner. It is in a completely transparent plastic bottle so you can see how much is left when you start using it. The bottle contains 750 ml conditioner. The label says that it is enough for 21 washes. ...I am not one for buying everything with designer labels attached to them, be it clothes or otherwise, however I feel if i had all the money in the world I would probably think differently about that! There are quite a few shops which stock rows upon rows of designer clothes in Aberdeen which I visit now and again, one of which is Envy. Envy can be found on Union Street, near McDonalds and Office. Thankfully it does not have much competition around about it. It can be recognised by its silver 'Envy' sign which sticks out on the wall to make it easy to spot. When you walk through the main doors you are in the mens section on the ground floor.. You can see that this floor is well laid out and neat and tidy. ...i went to the clothes show this year with high expectations too. i have never been before and found the whole experience rather bazzar. the standards of the stools where very simular to those in Camdem market with much of of the same stock. the mini catwalks were not to be missed, the creative talet around england is immence. and i congratulate those who put tyeir designs forward. the clothes show its self was fantastic and the dancing was awe inspiring, with a wonderful choice of music. some of the male dancers ran into the auidence and got the crowds roaring over all, i dont think that i would be too bothered if i didnt manage to get tickets for the next clothes show. i would love to see more of the clothes show and less of the tacky stalls. :)...
